Made breakfast, packed 2 cases, stripped our bed and plumped up the sofa cushions at DD's - that's my flying finished for today. DH is now driving us round the M25 to the M4, accompanied by occasional heavy showers and the odd rainbow :)

Sorry to hear of so many feeling grotty with colds - lots of GWS vibes to you all.

(((Hugs))) (a big one to mrs-mp), spoons and sticks to all who need them x
  • Just back from the chemist. DD1 wanted cold tablets without caffeine or anything to induce drowsiness. That was expensive...

Just a quick update before m and d come round for lunch. It's been hard work today as ds2 has been quite clingy!
Sorting out the airing cupboard has made me get rid of some double duvet covers (our bed is a kingside). I did keep some as we sometimes but a double duvet on top of the king size in the winter! Also threw a lot of single duvet covers from my uni days!!!! 12 years ago and I think they have been used a handful of times. But now the boys have 5 duvet covers between them, I think they are safe to go!!!

    Tuesday - Stairs/landing/Airing cupboard/kids room
    15 minutes....
[STRIKE]Get everything out of airing cupboard, sort out, put back what you actually need, recycle/rehome as need be.
    Test smoke alarms[/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare....
    [STRIKE]Hoover floors
Strip bed/s and wash any bedding[/STRIKE]
    Got an hour....
    [STRIKE]Dust shelves[/STRIKE]

    Extras
[STRIKE]Pair up all odd socks, declutter the rest to recycling/nursery
Wipe any marks off the walls - magic sponges are excellent
    Wipe or hoover lampshades [/STRIKE]

    Wednesday - Kitchen and Hall
    15 minutes....
    Wipe over surfaces
Clean toaster / kettle / microwave
    30 minutes to spare....
    Wipe the worksurfaces
Shine your sink and shlosh the plug hole
    Hoover and mop the floors
    Got an hour....
    Wipe over the hob
    Clear a hotspot
Clean out fridge, meal plan, shopping list
When are you doing your autumn freezer defrost - today?

    Extras

    Afternoon all

WMx2 done but heavy rain all morning so on the maidens, sunny now so may put duvet covers on the line.

Friend popped in to drop her keys off and stayed 3 hours - I did make soup whilst she was hear but had planned to fly - never mind I'll do an hour now and then need to wrap present and make cake for tomorrow.

Much pottering done today, as well as a brief trip to Mr T as I needed to return something. Got a few essentials while there but not much needed.

I've sorted my kitchen hotspot and found one on the hall cupboard too so sorted that at well. Made some wedges out of the spuds we bought earlier. Wrapped birthday gift for weekend but I've not ventured into the conservatory. I feel far too cold today.

Will go get DS shortly and decide what to have with these wedges. I'm going out for tea (first time in ages without kiddies :T). Then my friend wants us to go back to hers as she's got a hot tub recently lol. We'll see.

DD looking like she might nod off. Pushchair I think...

Interesting what trying to make a dressing gown makes you learn how to do. After 20 years of digging around behind the tumble drier to pull the hose up to shove it out of the window I have moved the tumble drier, refitted a new outlet hose to the hitherto undiscovered front vent, washed, tumble dried and ironed the Liberty fabric and am now ready to pin and cut.

Moving the tumble drier is a job that's been at the very top of my Toots list for well over a year. It took 30 minutes. WHY do I procrastinate so much?
    Better is good enough.

Did I say hello CY? Cant remember but its nice to see you around.

Gosh we are all coming down with the lurgy. Had to rush my poor boy to the emergency dentist this afternoon as half his face is badly swollen and he feels hot and cold and sleepy. He has been waiting for 8 months for an appointment to have two teeth taken out and he has got two new teeth pushing through in the same place. The dentist can see its very sore but doesnt think its infected. I am not convinced.

And I have a sore throat.

Like Bossy we have appointments all over the place for the next couple of weeks, opticians, 2 hospital visits, chimney sweep, flu jab etc.

Right, going to potter about and do a bit more for half an hour then feet up.
