It is highly unlikely that any of the kind people who gave you the bedding will ask if you are using it!

You made it sound quite manageable; I have even managed to go up and peek at it. Tomorrow I am going to actually follow your advice step by step and I will feedback, thank you so much. :)

I can't label the shelves because we keep the house bedding in a settle, along with all the towels. It was a higgle-depiggledy mess until I decided to tie the individual bedding + towel bundles up with tape. Black for the super king, white for the doubles. It means when I have to change a bed I don't have to search through everything looking for an elusive white double fitted sheet. Bliss.

Genius, sheer genius. What sort of tape do you use, if that's not daft a question?

I sew a bit, so I buy black or white tape from the haberdashery by the role and I have a million and one uses for it. If the worst came to the worst I'd use up old bias binding or whatever else I had lying around. To be honest, I started out using up crafting supplies - raffia, to be precise, but anything will do - string, different coloured wool, whatever you have yards and yards of that you can regard as colour coding.
    Better is good enough.

Hugs Mrs MP. My OH didnt cope well when his Dad died either and he put up a sort of wall around himself. It wasnt any kind of macho thing either, it was as if the emotions were just too much for him to handle. It was over 3 years before he visited his fathers grave. Thank goodness the family have got you, it sounds like you are doing a great job.

I have swished, swiped and hoovered pretty much the whole house this afternoon. I left some paid work to do it - it was bothering me so much - so had to sit down at the laptop at 7pm. All finished now but I am absolutely done in.

DS2 laid on sofa feeling poorly but refusing to go to bed. I think a cold/fluey bug is coming our way. In fact I had better check he isnt asleep.

HB, great idea about the airing cupboard. I might use your advice.

PJs, hot drink and my book I think.

    Hi all

MrsMp huge hugs to you and I echo what others have said x

Went to tosco for a few bits for cake making.
WM on - summer duvet washed and now drying.
    Muffins baked.
    Washing up done

Still not heard from my Dad. He probably hasn't realised I'm upset, despite slamming the front door behind him. I still don't know what to do, if it was a friend treating me that way I'd have cut them from my life. But it's different when it's family?

    Goodnight all
