Well, sell your car, OF COURSE. Duh...
Silly me, I never thought of that! I could get up an hour and a half earlier every morning, pay £5 per day in bus fare and I'd even get to work less hours as I'd be late every other day because they never turn up on time!
After all, I'd hate to slightly inconvenience anyone!0 -
Your posts in this thread say quite a lot about your personality, Lily-Rose, and are absolutely consistent with your attitude to people parking on the public road.
And YOUR posts say a lot about YOU 'Adrian.'
They are incredibly obnoxious and condescending, and seem to indicate that you can't bear people to have a different opinion. And when people do challenge you, you resort to mocking and sarcasm, and personal attacks.dirty_magic wrote: »This is a complete generalisation. I park outside other people's houses because I HAVE to. There is no road outside our flat.
I have had one party (housewarming) and the only place I listen to music is my car. I'll quite happily help our neighbours out if they need anything and I certainly don't only think about myself! I think I'm a pretty good neighbour tbh.
But that's fine, because YOU LIVE there.
Don't people even bother to read before responding?! It's about the ignorant and arrogant people who think it's OK to park outside someone's house all day, every day, (even though they don't even live near that area!) while they bog off to work, no matter how inconvenient it may be for the residents. (That is what the OP was about FGS!)
These type of people are probably the types that not only play loud music in their house, and do what the hell they want, and don't give a damn what people think; but they're probably they same types that throw bottles and cans and rubbish out of the window in country lanes, and think they can generally do what the hell they want, because they are THAT obnoxious.
Seeing as people aren't actually even bothering to read posts properly, and the last 2 posts on here, are resorting to the pathetic and childish mocking that was mentioned earlier, (which proves they have lost the argument!) I shall retire from the thread.
Now go park your car opposite someone's drive. You KNOW you want to! :rotfl:Proud to have lost over 3 stone (45 pounds,) in the past year! :j Now a size 14!
You're not singing anymore........ You're not singing any-more!0 -
I don't see why it is either ignorant or arrogant to park on a public road. People park outside my house all day every day, it doesn't worry me at all. I can't understand the level of anger that this issue creates, but there we are.0

This is a pointless argument, because it is ok to park your car on a public road. Whether you like it or not is irrelevant, as is whether the person parking there lives on that road or not!
The only time I can see that it would be wrong is if the parking blocks the road or blocks the view at junctions, in which case it is a problem because it could cause accidents!0 -

exactly!
it isnt rude, ignorant or a sign of a *certain* type of person - everyone has to do it...0 -
I live in a row of 1900s terraces, no drives, and my next door neighbours have 3 cars. which not surprisingly, means most of the time I cant park outside my house. really tedious when you have shopping/want to clean car etc. I wouldn't care less if I had a drive to park on. its a convenience/rudeness issue for me.
just having a moan0 -
We moved out of a new estate last year. 2/3/4 bed houses - around 200 of them. 17 houses had 2 parking spaces. The rest of us had 1 parking space.
We had to pay the priviledge of having our spot - £260pa to a management company for a key pad gate to our car park for 20ish cars. Didn't stop visitors parking in there.
The road was chock full of cars - a note from the emergency services stating that they would not be able to enter our estate due to all the double parking didn't stop people leaving their cars there.
We've moved to a house with a big drive for 3 cars...so much nicer.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
