Alfie..what a freight with your mam, glad she is ok...

Choille i bet you be running/ sitting around in your birthday suits with the heat in the house lol...

    Davesnave lol....

We have one of those things Alfie, well parts of it, we need to get some wooden slats to go on it, bought the bits years ago ready to go into the house.. Was thinking of just being able to put rope up in the greenhouse if I can't dry clothes inside. I also have an old fashioned wooden clothes horse too...

Yes, I said no one would be keen to give her B&B with that hulking great thing. :(

She still isn't back. The route she intended to take, up the M5 and then onto M4 was pretty :eek: yesterday. It forced our kids to be creative in getting here!

I don't think there's much we can do.Probably 101 later, give police her address, which will turn up her no plate and link to any info they might have. Othewrise, they can only keep an eye out on ANRS.

I could kick myself, I really could! :o

Our experience with/without boiler is that the former requires really dry wood. Our chimney used to tar-up in a few months. Haven't cleaned it at all this winter yet.

What a shocker of a day

Rain lashing down more like November here; people are so fed-up they were queuing back to the motorway to get into the nearest mall just for something to do.

Even I couldn't be doing with traipsing around the garden centre and will just order online from Crocus. Yesterday I extended a bed in the front garden, filling a Hippo bag with turf. The front of mine faces NE, so it needs shade lovers but I'll try and get some colour.

I had booked next week as leave, but with the current forecast I'll probably go back to work Tue/Wed!

Next weekend is the Caledonian Horticultural Society Spring Show at the Edinburgh Botanic Garden, which I plan to attend.

100 snowdrops 'in the green' arrived in the post, will probably plant them in the new bed.

Yes, I do need to get dry wood - just been burning green stuff that I sawed up from wind blown - not gut big uns, just wee birch trees, but green.

Horrid day here too & had spec thing & optician advised eye drops as because of my gut condition my eyes are bone dry - according to him. This explains constant two month headache & sore eyes. Also new specs needed.

Horse sounds fabulous Alfie & you will be pleased to get little un back after schooling.

Free listing on the Bay until Monday I think, so best get some pennies in as they soon go out these days. Everything is money - it poshes me off.

Hmmm, we've been ringing around and no one has any contact numbers for Horse Woman's family, but someone who knows her well thinks she has people in Berkshire. That's put my mind at rest a bit.

The thing is, she's tended not to go anywhere because of her horse, but now he's gone, she has more freedom. And we know wherever she is, there's also an Irish Wolfhound!

Out at South Molton's special spring Pannier Market this morning for things to eat, then I cried off and came home to pot-on, while the others shopped till they dropped. Bit wet, bit windy but not as dire as predicted for us. :)

That'll be it Dave - she's staying over with relations.

It's funny how responsible we can feel for some folks.

Gave a lift to a lad here a lot the worse for wear - this was at 10 am. He lost his Mum late on last year & he's been going down a spiral - well long before she died, but he's getting into a lot of bother & developing quite an unpleasant manner.
