    Evening all,

Re cameras.. I can see when people haven't got their dogs on the lead :D

We bought a 4 camera set up after we had the break in at work.

We bought it from napkins. Yes you need electric and a lead runs from the camera to the recording box. But you can get WiFi cameras

Quality of the recording is good, its in Co!our during the day, and black and white in the night. You can also download an app that lets you monitor from your phone too.

We also got a bushcam up the lane too, which runs off batteries with a sim card in it. This is a motion sensor, so movement trigars off the recording. The first nly thing with that. When we had it set up to see what wildlife we had around at night etc.. All we seen were bums lol.. As by the time it came on the animal had more or less passedlol. But that was our fault, not getting the angle right etc.

We have also got signs telling people about the CCTV cameras etc.

I think if something has triggered something off in your mind to think about cameras then it's def worth having a serious think about getting them.

I think maplins have 20% off them at the moment.

Edit.... We also have a separate monetor which is constantly on.. And it shows the 4 chanel's/ cameras all at the same time.

Told the footpath people I have cameras, and he said he didn't know the legalities of it, and I said tough its my land they are staying on lol..

one of my little polish chicks got sat on ? by a brahma and has a funny neck now and has a sort of fit ...:( ....reason for me splitting them up.. don't think it will right itself but its eating and drinking so I will give it a couple of days to see...

It's fine. The footpath is on your land and you're allowed to film your domestic property, just no one else's. :)

Horse Woman enjoyed the evening, I think, alfie. It was hard going, due to her deafness, but better than when we visit her, because there wasn't any telly blaring away as well! :eek:Why do so many elderly people watch 24hr rolling news, which is mostly depressing? When I get to her age, it'll be Led Zeppelin or the Who in concert if I need a continual background noise.

The dog is a pain. How she ever schooled horses I'll never know, as that animal just does what it wants and takes no notice of anything she tells it. Our first job after she left was to disinfect the plastic table cover, where it had its chops most of the evening.....

OK rant over. We found out she isn't having any more hosses, but hopes to rent out the stabling. She still wants the hay crop though, which seems like cake & eat it to me, but what do I know!

She is also planning a trip to a place near Dafty. :eek:Remembering the time when she tried to visit the tall ships in Plymouth and ended up in Penzance, I'd say the prospects of her getting there don't look too good. :(

That's for clarifying the CCTV camera situation davesnave..

We seen him this morning.. About reinstating a dog poo bin on the lane. Told I don't mind if they put it on our land, as along as the council empty it. They said his department will pay for the bin, and Street cleansing can put it on their rota round for empting.

Had a nice chat.. And cut along story short it looks as though we are the final link in the cycle path scheme.. And as he said.. No wonder they offered more sweeteners than what we wanted lol.... Think I will be a list of demands.lol..all we wanted was for them to lay a new water pipe, just incase or for when we need to renew it, as it is exposed in some places, and not down deep enough in others, so while they are digging up and renewing the path it makes perfect sense.. But they offered alot more...so let's see how far they will go;) ( that's if they can get the funds to do it)

Alfie.. The CCTV set ups are straight forward. I think the difficult part is putting camera up and running the cables..unless you get a WiFi one. Which alot of people use for watching farm animals which are due to give birth . so they don't have to be out in the barns/stables until needed.

ctc......does that mean if they do do the cycle path ,it will start from the very top of your lane ? from where it leaves the houses area.... that would be good for you ! presuming you can drive ok on it ?

Yes. All the way, and yes we can drive on it, as we have access rights. They will put a gate at the top by the fork ( the top start of our land) so no cars can go down except us

    Morning all,

Looks as though it's going to be a nice day today, so going to make the most of it, before the wet and windy bank holiday weekend

Sorry haven't been posting much lately, but I have stumbled across an alternative sales market for one of my produce.. Which I have had some big orders from America.. There isn't much money in it, but every little helps..( yes Alfie its what we were talking about, but a basic version, etc;))
Choille.. Re what I messaged you about before, thats where the orders are coming from... So def worth having a look

So I am now behind in my seed sowing!!! ( as usual lol) but I am sure things will soon catch up.

Our tumble dryer has packed up, so going to try and get by without one.. I know our boys will have a culture sock lol.. Especially the youngest.

    ctc.... every likkle bit helps..

re the tumble dryer.. I got one of those [utility room ] hanging from the ceiling/pully rope/ 4 bar thingy [they DO have a proper name !] and put all the linens/leightweights on it and they seem to be dry over night !
could you fit a really long version in your greenhouse/poly tunnel ? faff but saves massive on the leccy bill...

lovely day here...so far.. working on the "railway" for a few hours today and tomorrow... spring repairs !

my poorlittle polish chick with the head trauma is not doing well. I separated it last night thinking it wouldn't make the night....but it has. I just cant dispatch things, wish I could but im petrified I wont do it right and it will be worse or suffer... devil and deep blue !
