Well, that's the main loft cleared-out and the contents deposited in the barn, so only the extension loft to do now. :D Oh, and I have a wardrobe the size of the Titanic to dismantle and shift too. Dunno what we'd do without that van! :)

At the last house we installed a big German Bette bath with handles, choille, and we'll probably do the same here. Just enamelled steel, but good quality. £600ish, I think.

Horse woman has given me about 20 rosa rugosa and said I can help myself to another hundred more! I've decided to put them on the road hedge embankment at the end of our land to make it more secure. We keep that clear of trees so our thatched cottage neighbours have a view. They've let their leylandii grow taller than the house at the sides and back, so they don't see much! :(

In the boys field I found a large blob of jelly. It looked really strange at the side of the field. I googled it & came up with star jelly from a meteorite, but that seems a tad weird.

Clear sky here & feel quite jiggered really.

OH spoke with someone who has a Malamute & they say their dog is fine. It was socialised with an old Collie they had & is like a great big teddy. It lives in a sheep infested area and wouldn't dream of chasing them.

I think it's down to how you train them......or not.

Had a lamb caught in brambles so spent a good while clipping at them. I will finish that patch tomorrow as it is a bad one. Cheap secatuers from LIDLS, but they do the job.

Moved the wood & OH is getting on well with the wee digga, so that's a tiny step forward.

Finally got back to Lottie. :j Did a tiny amount of random weeding a few days ago. :o Yesterday pruned the lavender hedge at end between us and our half lottie owner. It's amazing how much it makes bottom of the plot look - much more cared for. :) Today late getting there (didn't want to get outta bed as was horribly tired and also so grey early, so missed best part of late sun), only did about an hour of weeding before it got too dark to see... At which point did a bit of time just ripping up couch grass at edge of plot. Hoping to take shears down tomorrow for OH to have a better go at it if rain keeps off.

When (if ) we sell old home I'm thinking of getting a new shed for lottie. So have fun googling to do! :rotfl: It would be nice to have somewhere waterproof to sit in when the rain comes down. The shed there is well and truly past it - OH bought new stuff to put on roof last year but didn't get round to it. I'd like a bigger shed too, with enuff space for potting on seedlings started at home. If won the lottery I'd have a greenhouse too, but that's just a dream for me at the mo.

I'm reading even when don't post for ages. Welcome to the new people on the thread. Hugs to you all.

I have a truly needed thing thanks to alf. :)

She's determined to keep me cooking! I'm so grateful and happy.

Miserable weather for people selling outside to day. When we left we went into salisbury to do some prechristmas shopping. One of my favourite shops the salisbury branch is closing down, another is gone ( was hoping for might find me a small Christmas gift in there, I have some fab earrings from there and often soused to see stuff I liked in there.....but now its gone. )

The Spanish / tapas place has gone.

    :(.

Change can be good. But not if you cannot get what you want or anything you cannot get everywhere else. Felt really flat coming home. I like salisbury, its beautiful and its sweet. Its easy on foot. I suppose I'm increasingly 'condemned' to the hills of bath, which are harder for me, where its impossible to do it in a day if you are me. And where whilst its stunning, everyone knows it. The jostle is often just ott when you want just to pop in for some basics...
  • hope you had a fab time with Alfie LIR,

won the bathroom suite, I was the only bidder, so really pleased with a full bathroom suite including taps etc for £100.
plus the bum wash will make a good planter somewhere in the garden lol..

where they took my tooth out is still hurting big time...

cant wait for I am celeb starting tonight....

also cant wait for the spring, when the nights are lighter again... feel as though we are not getting much done now....

Alfie, hope you had a good day selling today....

Alfie, hope you had a good day selling today....

We didn't stay too long at all precisely because we didn't want to get in the way. Alfie was in a really nice area, but where congestion could block up, and too many of us gathered there would stop people seeing stuff easily, and one she and I get talking.......well, fir reminded me it wasn't fair to Alfie to scare buyers off ;) and so we just swooped by.

Its just not long enough, but never is with Alfie.

One nice thing, there were owls in Salisbury centre, raising money for their rescue and it made me thing of Alfie's woods ;). For two pound you could hold one on your wrist. Poor little things. The said they were used to it from school visits, and indeed they seemed beautifully relaxed and calm. But they were welcome to a few quid from us with just the unanswered desire to hold one.

This has been our other project this weekend. Our first attempt at a cloud ceiling. Its not come out too well in the photo, but is very pale. Neither fir nor I pretend to be artists, and didn't want it to look cartoonish. We agreed better to stop for this weekend and look next week again at adding more depth and highlighting than keep going and overdoing it this evening.

I'm glad we started in the wardrobe, not somewhere visible. We've decided there are things we'd certainly do differently next time! But I think its not the worst first attempt, especially for non artists!
