Lunch is eaten, including some of our own produce - kale, parsley and sage. Oh, and home made redcurrant jelly made from homegrown redcurrants. OH forgot to cook our lottie parsnip and carrots! Tomorrow!

Very Blowy here & Cold but hey it's December. Hope everyone is having a lovely break & not getting too stuffed with sprouts & the in-laws/outlaws.
  • Bit of an up and then down Xmas for me.

Nice day with family then carers called this morning to say dad taken into hospital with possible mini-stroke, sickness and infection. I thought he'd taken a bilious attack from too much marzipan...

Dropped in to A&E to see him this afternoon, pretty much out for the count so will see what happens.

    Rain is torrential of course.

All quiet here now on the Western Front. DD2 and her man left a few hours ago, as time and clearance sales wait for no one in footwear. ;)

However the second wave, the Outlaws, will be arriving tomorrow for a flying visit.....

It's OK. We rarely have any kind of boisterous Christmas. As CTC says, it's enough to be together, without any kind of work agenda. :)

Sorry to hear Dad took a turn for the worse today IHS. Hopefully a bit of R&R will set him back on track.

DD1, her husband and grandson, Sam, have not been very well for weeks, but I think they still had a visitation from the other Outlaws, so had to knock-up a full Christmas dinner. :(

DD2 is good at winning things, so she already had a huge turkey, being top prize in a turkey farm's competition. Anyway, I hope it was more palatable than her last prize: a 3' fibreglass owl! :rotfl:

Horrible, relentless wind today (outside!!! :o) but no rain here, unlike the areas around Manchester and Leeds. I hope RAS is OK. Looks grim and more to come, I fear.
