There's a pine of some sort in my inherited garden so I plan to adorn it with some old Christmas decorations when my children get home from school.
I'm a little bit unhinged meself Davesnave
The above doesn't sound too daft to me. More like FUN!
Still wet & warm here, not that it matters when you're in a loft.I think I'll be up there all week because it's slow-motion stuff, but the alternative of putting a foot through one of the new ceilings doesn't bear thinking about! Blooming bungalow lofts are huge...and we have 3. :wall:
DD2 started her new job today. The company delivered a car to her over the weekend, which she had to drive to Head Office today. Sounds reasonable, but she passed her test in 2009 and did not drive again afterwards!
She's had a few refresher lessons from her cousin, but heading off down the M5 today must've been a baptism of fire. We've persuaded her to spend this week with her grandparents, who only live about 20 miles from her office, so fingers crossed.....I'm told I worry too much, but I still do.0 -
Hello fuddle, nice to see another daydreamer join in.
I'm afraid I'm mostly lurking at the mo. Weather carp, feeling carp, no energy to get to our lottie even on the occasional dry day.Lawn in back garden not been cut since July! Lavender in front garden needs trimming, everything needs pruning, and onions need planting at lottie...
Meanwhile DD2 & family are moving house on Thursday and then we just might head off for Bwlchtocyn. So no tree, no deccies here, but have outside lights for deck plus a little string (20 teeny lights) to string over either some branches or some dried out hydrangea flowers, depending on what we find in the caravan garden when we get there... I just hope the cavalo nero is doing OK in the pots and that the pigeons haven't gobbled it!
Choille, will be sending you and your OH The Vibes. Hope that all goes well and that you are well looked after in the place you are staying at. Big hugs to you from Liverpool, dear Choille. :grouphug:0 -

It was fun.We were against the clock with the failing light but these things do tend to come to me at daft moments and then it must be done asap.
I gave up my car in the summer and haven't drove since. I don't miss it and dread the day I have to drive again because at 36 I expect I won't be able to dodge the wheel indefinitely. I hope she was ok. I suppose getting the worst trip over with will mean the rest aren't as bad. I'm sure I worry in my sleep so you're in good company with that one.ukmaggie45 wrote: »Hello fuddle, nice to see another daydreamer join in.
hello there, nice to see you.
I've been out weeding the raised bed. I thought it was 5m x 1m but having just measured it it's 6x1. A lot of weeds there and what looks to be abandoned veg growths all dried and spindly. It's not been touched since summer 2013 so I have my work cut out. Still, I felt quite lucky to be in a position where I can spend my days pottering. I am a potterer. I like to faff, make and make do - when I don't have hair brained ideas that is :cool:0 -
Evening all..
Fuddle any pics of the tree?! That sounds fab!!
Piddled down here today, so nothing new there!! Surely we are not going to get this all winter?? I know its mild, but I do miss the cold frosty mornings now lol
Choille , thinking about you and OH. Hope everything is OK..
Piggles are doing well, ducks are still laying, so might put some eggs in the incubator ..
Alfie did you pick up the kittens??Work to live= not live to work0 -

This will be the start of a rather intensive period of learning, as her daily commute will be in the region of 75 miles. She's basing her insurance on 20k miles/year anyway.
Her Grandpa is changing his car this week. That might be fortuitous, as he was only offered £1k PX for it, so she's buying it instead. OTOH, it's posh, so if it breaks down.....
Another dismal but warm day here, not that it mattered in the loft. I emerged, like Quasimodo, around 5pm, finding it was still so warm I could fetch the logs in and lock up the chickens in my shirt sleeves.
DW has just told me there's no central heating. Well, of course not, I turned it off around 10 am and no one noticed! :rotfl:0 -
Beautiful kittens, alfie. I love their ears!0

Wonder which one is going to be the trouble maker lol
Same her Davesnave I was in the shed pottering around with the birds and I had to take my jumper off...Work to live= not live to work0 -
Aw they are canny. Enjoy. Which one is yours alfie
It hasn't been too warm here today but we're expecting 13's and 14's in the next few days.
CTC i'll take a pic in the morning but please don't expect something fantastic:rotfl:
Ouch that's a lot of driving for her. Here's to building confidence fast Davesnave.0 -
hi all....
ive actually been "accosted" .... my boss wants kit no2
BUT where I got them from [ a stray walked in on the lady and stayed and had kittens..] there is THE MOST STUNNING big grey and white stray cat she feeds. 2 belonged to a nearby resident but she has shut them out and ignores them so this lady feeds them and has made boxes for them in a shed. one is very wild now but the grey one is soooooo sweet. so plan being that after xmas I MAY get him.. I worry the wild one will miss him but she said they go their separate ways after fed.. and her cats are about so he will have company if it wants it...0
