We're glad we did the shed roof a couple of weeks ago. :D OTOH work inside the house has stalled....:o

DW says she's going to start again today....;) I am going to dig some holes... :p

Went to the Remembrance service as I needed to lay a wreath. We're between vicars, so they'd wheeled in some old chap who's just retired here, though I'd have preferred something cobbled together by the local church regulars. He was not very inspiring. :(

Anyway, he got off on the wrong foot by praising "this fine part of North Devon,"

    We are Mid-devon! :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!

LIR you have an old house, do you find things like this happening???

    of course!

And not just 'old bits'. After the bit we reroofed was done there was a tiny leak, which went unnoticed.....till the 'new' reclaimed bricks were stained by water penetration.. Its life.

The main roof is not yet redone, and we are in a windy spot , so we have had roofers in to do tiny repairs every year, and the loft has a few buckets in it. Just incase, in certain wind directions we get ingress in some places.

    Cannot wait til its done.

Not cold, but now protected from wind and rain...the red canna was on 50%-off sale at B&Q which has since flowered. Result!

    Did I say 'holes?'

Will you settle for one? :o

I was doing really well, till I found the water main.

Had to move the hole. :( So, two holes rolled into one really. :D

    And then it rained....

CTC - I too am find the bay very slow indeed even tho I have over a 100 items up it's sluggish & like you comes in little flurries then dry spells.
I have a FLW so will do a relist this evening.

Really nasty weather here - cold wet & vey windy. I do so hate these days & the dark coming in so quickly too.

Lovely poppy photo Alfie - I lost my white one whilst out & about.

Supposed to have joiner come tomorrow but he's become a little patchy - sporadic. I just don't know what to expect these days.
  • Morning all

    Another windy poop day..

Think mammy pig will not be long now.. Her boobies have dropped and separated.. There were no signs of milk last night, so will be watching her like a hawk from now on, she has been in the shed for a few weeks now, to keep her calm, etc.. So fingers crossed not long nowl.

Everyone keep safe out there with this weather..and according to country file weather it's going to get cold by the end of the week

Wild and windy here today with a heavy drenching of rain so we are keeping indoors and cooking all the things :D

Also making sure that I have all the bits and pieces I need to keep us going if we can't get out for a few days. Stocking up the medical kit, extra pet food and filling the store cupboard as well as my annual supply of bottled water. I doubt we would be unable to get supplies for longer than couple of days however I usually have it in mind to plan for 10 - 14 days.

I like the feeling of being prepared :D
