    hi all ...
well I have had a weird day today ..:o

went to fetch the keys to mums flat this morning then headed over to my vets to pick up the repescription for old dogs anti-inflamitories, I mentioned on the phone if he could recommend anything else to help her joints then bung it in too...[which he did] I got there and of course proffered my bank card ,to be met by a total of £120 ... after a sharp intake of breath I reasoned that I could not deprive/be mean enough to dissallow my lovely old gal some relief in her later years...

then went on a charity shop rummage .. got a few bits but nothing of merit :(

popped into see a friend only to find her house literally upside down inside ...she'd been flooded 2 weeks ago  a torrent of water came down the road and turned right into her front path of her cottage.. straight under her old wood door and through to the back door.. her carpets are stripped out,her furniture stacked and everything else upstairs...it looks like a bombs hit the place .... over a cuppa in a derelict kitchen I did mumble that she would have new carpets and sofa's etc which she was talking about pre flood ....:o

came home to a note left from son saying the lottery ticket [£25] id given him towards a few beers at a music thing he was going to tonight was the WRONG TICKET !!!........ooops

I think this is "just one of those days" ;)

Fay, a friend our ours is training to be a therapist , and he said it is mentally and emotionally draining...SL they have group talks to make sure they can cope with people they are trying to help,

I take my hat off to people who try to help people through their emotions and trauma that they have been through...

It can be CTC, I also feel very oriveledged to be the one people open up to. I work with people with severe and enduring mental health problems and it's rewarding but demanding. Good supervision is vital so I'm glad your friend is getting that. Hopefully he's getting individual as well as group.

Do you know it never fails to fill me with joy and a sense of wonder when I walk into the garden and pick a plum from the tree that I planted 7 years ago. I love that my garden gives me food :D
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • Fay, yes I think he said he gets one on one and group chats after he has done a session...

Alfie, when we took kitten cat, to the vets re- her losing her hair etc, they charged me over £100 for a few injections etc, and wanted me to take her back 4 weeks later, they thought it was a flea alegy , but I worked it out, that it was the tinned cat food , I had bought 6 months worth of tinned cat food from lidl, once I started feeding ng some fresh etc, her coat started getting g better, so now I have changed ctinned food, and feed fresh a few times a week, and she is slowly starting to get her coat growing again...

Lovely day here, but getting quite windy now.

Eventually got the sheep sheared & stuff done that really should have been done a while back. Didn't get in until after 9 pm so feeling jiggered - just eaten & off to bed as I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Separated the lambs off - can hear them baaaaing even in the caravan.

    Glad that's done & dusted - always a worry.

Lifted some onions earlier - better than I expected, but the weeds - could hardly find the veg garden. Felt very bad about that.
  • Morning all,

Piddled down last night, and still grey and damp looking outside..

Davesnave hope the sale goes OK today....as you know sometimes, its not about the amount of takings to take on the day, but is about building up a reputation, and a potential client base..

Choille how many lambs did you separate??

Hubby and eldest went to a so called job fair at one of the local community halls, what a joke, as he said there were more stands there, asking for volunteers than anyone giving advice or recruiting, I thought there would be local emp!oyers, or job agencies, where you could give / write a CV etc...

CTC I hate to suggest it knowing the upset and problems it caused you, but what about the large supermarket opposite your house? Quite handy this time of year due to staff discount too??
