Needed the space, so cut Queen of the Night tulips rather than wait for them to 'go over'.

Plants I got from Crocus all now in the ground, in fact everything is planted/potted-up and the conservatory is ready for a good clean.

Just need some warm weather, but it's not looking good

I've been weeding again but the bind weed is dying back and the ground elder has been vastly reduced thus year-thank goodness! And I've potted on my three cordon toms, will leave my bush ones until next week or later maybe. It's still quite chilly IHSI feel your pain over the weather.
My strangely twisted plants are still twisted, slightly less wilted looking but certainly not dying...odd.
I've managed to aggravate my back today which is always slightly painful but my right hip is killing. I think it might be something with my sciatic nerve maybe? I'm feeling very sorry for myself lol.
Thinking of having a few days away mid June and considering Devon, any tips on nice areas Dave?

Sciatic nerve was what I blamed for my immobile state a few weeks ago. Now the aches are just general old age! :rotfl:

Oooh, there's so many different sorts of environment in Devon, Fay. What do you like doing most? Do you want inland or coast, rugged or less dramatic? :)

Coast would be nice and happy with rugged. We enjoy walking and are national trust members. I haven't even had a look yet what's down there but we both fancy it. We can only do about 3 nights and had considered North Yorkshire but Devon is just a little closer. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just popping in. Been busy with going through paperwork for meeting next week.

Since 'operation cluck' was a dismal failure we decided to get another couple of hens, so hopefully we will get some eggs again. Mr BD collected the new girlies today.

There is much outraged clucking from the resident hens who are strutting around in their very smart and pristine feathers

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

North Coast then, Combe Martin to Woolacombe, or going t'other way to Lynmouth is all good for coastal walking, although the bit around Hartland which stretches down towards that funny place Cornwall, is good too.

Nice gardens within striking distance include RHS Rosemoor, Marwood near Barnstaple, Docton Mill at Hartland and there's Arlington Court N.T. house & gardens.

There's Exmoor too. A place called Landacre Bridge is good for a picnic on a nice day, and you can paddle too! Looks a bit parky here......

Those before & after photos show what a difference you can make, Better Days. Are they all Warrens? Would you consider a couple of youngsters too? :)
