I'm sprawled here, unable to sleep, with pink whistley tucked under my arm reading the screen.
When do we get picture of new cat?0 -
Morning all,
Had a message from Alfie last night on messenger.. She is LOVING it there, sounds as though there is a fab crowd where they are staying...they are going into marachech sp?? Today.to have a mooch. She wants me hi to everyone.. And sends her love...
Hope you managed to get some sleep last night LIR, how are you feeling today??Work to live= not live to work0 -
Much better thank you CTC. Power of actually resting something when you are meant to seems to be phenomenal. I helped do the birds this morning and could manage alone now easily, but going to follow guidelines of the 72 hours rest and 'rice' ...apart from doing birds this morning. Because its working. Its incredible colours though!0

Glad it was a bit better today, rest as much as you can, and fingers crossed, it will get better quickerWork to live= not live to work0

The bearded iris didn't appreciate being moved in 2012 and sulked in 2013 and 2014...
My discounted order from Crocus arrived - Geranium 'Johnson's Blue', Verbena bonariensis and Camassia cusickii (for next Spring). Shame the weather is terrible or I'd have got them planted...0 -
Glad you are resting up LIR & it's working. You have to go with it or risk making things longer to heal often.
I'll photo cat as the rescue place has taken down his pics. He's very gorgeous, but rather mental - or has issues - as they say.
Wee loo getting there with towel heater in place, but just realised that the cistern needs dismantling again to get the slow close toilet seat on. The low energy back to the wall toilet is causing grief to the plumber - boy can he swear.
Bathroom is also coming on with shower tray in place & plumbing getting there. We will put in a plinth for the bath so we can admire the view from there.
Rayburn want over £300 for new lids which is ridiculous as I just want new chrome lid covers are they are rusty- will look at re-chroming prices.0 -
Pleased to hear your plumbing is making progress Choille (ooer missus
:D) Looking forward to seeing cat pic too x
LIR, hope you've managed to get some rest today x
Lovely bearded iris IHS.....I need to take some more garden pics, but have been soooo busy today as we have weekend house guests arriving tomorrow night and it's therefore all systems go to get a few jobs finished so that they're not falling over tools and decorating materials as well as wanting to create a warm and welcoming space to entertain - to which end we had to turn the aga back on as it's still on the chilly sideMortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -

Go rustic -- have it galvanised!
Those slow close lids can be a booger for lads if they don't stay up. You just get started and they begin to descend, so then it's a race to see if you can finish in time! :rotfl:
Electrician sent his apprentices back yesterday, who fixed the immersion, which was actually a dodgy MCB in the new consumer unit. We let them do it as a test, having already checked the line as dead. They took a lot longer than us!
They wired in the new en-suite while they were here. Plumber in today to plumb it, then it'll be ready for the plasterers, if they ever arrive. We'll trash the house bathroom next and turn it into a temporary store, so we can get a boiler fitted in Dave's Den....there's a wall to build in there first though. We built the other skin of it last week. Musical [STRIKE]chairs[/STRIKE]rooms!0 -
Oh, sheep left last night. My 'pet' Southdown was a bit upset, climbing up on the hurdles and letting me make a huge fuss of her, like never before.
She has nothing to worry about. Unlike the others, she'll probably be back later!0 -
Morning all,
Lol the sheep Davesnave, wonder if she remembers you if she comes back
Piddled down last night/ this morning. Stopped now, but still grey and overcast.
Waiting for the ring back appointment form the Dr this morning, so can't do much, as I don't want to miss the call..
aflie message.. They haven't stopped laughing, they got lost on the way back to their hotel yesterday, as they forgot where it was... Sounds as though that was an adventure in itself lol...Work to live= not live to work0
