Me too.I have a few pallets going spare, including a huge one I could hardly get into the van. I'm not sure what came on that, or even if it was anything to do with us! :rotfl:
Family day up in the Mendips today. We had to take Tinky Winky, as she's still not fending for herself properly. Other family members found her... err....interesting.
Too tired to post more tonight...zzzzzzzz:)0 -
Chives need splitting or they just take over. They seed everywhere, but are quite attractive when they flower.
!!!!! is home & a little manic. Mind you after his shed quarters this must seem huge. He is exploring & we do have far too much teetering clutter, so I hope that not too much get's wrecked! He gave me quite a nasty bite earlier.
Got delayed coming home as we had to take a detour as there'd been an accident, hope that it's not too serious. Just down the road there's a car
upside down in a ditch....see Bank Holidays.....people just put the foot down & leave their brains at home.0 -

Cool with me, but still dry...
Potting on the agave this afternoon using a clay pot I picked up from Morrisons and will plant a Jasminum nudiflorum on the trellis where a clematis expired during the winter.
Edit - and done! The smallest is a 'pup' of the largest.
Note excessive chives...;)
NB I had a heck of time getting the slate coping attached to the brick wall. After cementing last year, they all came detached over the winter I guess due to differential expansion. Have now attached them with construction adhesive.0 -
Who heard of too many chives? IHS and choille? I have two big clumps ATM. I look forward to more so I can stagger the cutting back so I can have some in flower, some cut back, and some eating ready all the time. ( my mother hated chives, so we never had them in childhood gardens, so I especially love having copious amounts now. ) I don't like raw onion in salads, but chives and enough oomph without the bang, ans the chive flowers look pretty ( though they bang a little more)
I love the shape of the buds so much, absolutely perfectly wonderful. Also, might they be slightly insect repellent, I'm not sure.0 -
Overcast and chilly, but dry here.....
DH was out extremely early, hunting (quite successfully for a change) for potential stock at a huge carboot sale.....I, meanwhile had a lie-in as I was up late sewing
We've just arrived back from Been & Queued and now need to plough on with decorating/gardening as I ran out of time to get everything in the ground yesterday.
LIR, we love chives too - have a potful brought from the Wilts house and found a nice clump growing here, although it's in the rose bed so might get moved at some stage! We also have masses of wild garlic growing in the mini woodland.....rather out of control atm, so will need restraining, a bit like our crazy Spanish Water Dog who managed to hurtle with elephantine grace through my herb garden on the stone steps this morning, smashing a lovely aged terracotta pot in the process.....grrrr
Hope everyone is enjoying the Bank Holiday and not working too hardMortgage-free for fourteen years!

We hope to introduce wild garlic here. So useful....0

It's quiet on here today, everyone is busy working on their day dreams. Ivejydt come in, feel utterly exhausted and don't know why. Done some more in the garden today on an overgrown holly in a shady area and planted my new erythroniums I got at Malvern. Then hit the bind weed but it's a never ending battle. But I've run out of steam so tidied up, fed plants and now I'm watching my recorded Chelsea shows. I have tomorrow off work too but will be getting stuff ready for work and doing some jobs in the house too.0
