Alfie are you getting hitched?
The rain is really torrential tonight. Glad the ewes with lambs & in lamb are in the byre. It's biblical again out there. Feel sorry for the others, but as someone said - they are waterproof sheep.0 -
Everyone must be making the most of the sun, before the rain comes..Work to live= not live to work0

hi all......
gorgeous day here.
plummers have renewed pipe work , just electricians to put in steam vent and wire in then builder back to put in ceiling ...
also having elec vent put in utility room and new fuse boards.
made a decision re goose goggins and Stanley.. they are going to friends lake with her geese. they will probably get bullied to start with but have 2 acres to escape into.. its such hard work separating them at night and I want my summer house back !!
ive just bought milk... semi skimmed milk ! gotta start somewhere....0 -
Been on semi for years lol
Really can't wait for Sunday, and the royal welsh spring show... So I can just lose myself for a few hours lol...

Ditto CTC, although in our case it's stuff from the garage that hasn't been touched since we brought it from our storage unit in Wilts. Much of it belonged to my now late parents and I haven't even started to go through that yet, so we've just scratched the surface of our own bits and bobs. My heart sank when we opened the door earlier.....
We can't actually fit anything else in and as we just promised to go down to Bourneo (Bournemouth, lol :rotfl:) to pick up some furniture items that DS has been storing there, bring them back here and list, we need to make some space
Lovely day here, but it still feels cold to me, which in turn is making me feel hungry and craving comfort food....
Good for you with the semi-skimmed milk AlfieFortunately in that department I don't need to worry as I've not touched milk since I was three......can't stand the stuff
Loving the sound of your scarecrows LIR - we were at Wightwick Manor recently and they have a brilliant one in the kitchen garden there.... might be inspired to do one for here (I've more than enough old/vintage clothes!) but don't know what the two mad dogs would make of it!
Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying good weather where they are xMortgage-free for fourteen years!

Pheobe I was thinking of doing a vintage one too, as Alfie will confirm 2x 5000 ft units full of vintage crap lol...I thinking 1940's meets Hilda Ogden ..Work to live= not live to work0

Just about to post and Old Dog decided now was the time to relieve herself of her tea
Poor old girl. Seems OK now.
Been changeable here today and rather chilly.
I had big plans for listing all the spare stuff round the house on e-bay. And so far the box room is still full of boxes. I have started on an e-bay box thoughNonetheless when we move next I suspect it will be with a good proportion of those boxes in the box room.
Friend came round with some Lemon Drizzle cake from M&S. Very nice indeed.
My little sedum garden has come on well, I'll post a picture tomorrow.
How's Tinky Winky today Dave?It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Weather all over the place with me, with some heavy rain showers, breeze and cool. Bit of a 'May gap' in the garden as the last of tulips are starting to get ragged with nothing much else in flower, however the perennials are growing away well despite the cold. The hostas like 'Big Daddy' are showing some large 'spikes' so I'm expecting slug defying leaves from these.
The wind blew over my star jasmine and broke the clay pot  I think this week Aldi has pots, so will get some more.
Got fed up looking at the cannas in the conservatory and planted them out, even if a frost is still possible.
Hospital visiting this evening, mum's now been transferred to the same hospital as dad which is good, but it's about another 30 minute drive each way for me. Both so-so, but nothing special.
Treated myself to a new (to me, MSE style) watch, which I'd been swithering over for yonks.0 -
That's looking lovely IHS
BD, poor Old Dog, bless her....and poor you too, having to clear up after her x
Gosh, I know how you feel with regard to boxes - we've never really cleared the backlog after selling my parents' house in 2012 when they went into the nursing home, I guess as a result of being bogged down with renovations coupled with the fact of not wanting to face up to itMortgage-free for fourteen years!
