Yesterday, I thought Tinky Winky might have to be PTS without tea cake or corn, but by afternoon she seemed more content, and certainly fought back much more while being fed in the evening. She seems to know that we are not trying to murder her, but she still doesn't make it easy!
Some of the horrible fungus gunge has fallen away now, but until she's eating & drinking normally, it'll be a struggle.
It was good to get the weekend dry and free for grass cutting and other maintenance. Yesterday I had a bonfire for the whole afternoon to clear all the brash left over from harvesting the willows, so we're tidy over in that area again.
I'm half a stone over my realistic ideal weight. The ideal, unrealistic one is half a stone below that!
:o With a wedding to go to in August, I hope to hit the target where I can fit into a 36" waist....or I'll just look like a penguin the cat brought in.....

Morning all,
I am not even going to talk about the amount of weight I have put on...but I expect when I go up for my blood test later ( I hate needles) they will tell me again.. But I really think I need to do something about it now... More salads and fruit. I have cut back big time on the biswits etc. So hopefully the weight will slowly start coming off. Don't like fad/crash diets, think they do more harm than good.
Raining here, and windy.. Hope it clears upWork to live= not live to work0 -

Me neither - I don't consider the 5:2 or ADF as a fad or crash diet as you can eat whatever you like (well, within reason obviously) on non-fast days and giving your body a rest by eating 500 healthy calories and drinking plenty of water on the other days, whilst ensuring you don't over-exert yourself is unlikely to do harm if you are healthy to start with.
For me personally fasting at least twice a week has now become a way of life and I feel healthier - as well as lighter and happier - for it
Fad diets whereby you cut out all the *nice* stuff can never be sustained long-term imho, and then the weight just creeps back on.....
If I get hungry on a fast day - which I occasionally do - I merely tell myself I can have whatever it is I'm craving the next day. Unlike DH, I'm blessed with very strong will power, lol :rotfl:
Right off to have lunch now - sourdough bread & Brie plus a naughty waitrose raspberry Bakewell tart - then back to weeding
Btw, I'm jealous about the Malvern show Fay - I completely forgot it was on. I really want to go to Chelsea or Hampton Court flower show but something else always crops up so we end up watching it on TV instead....maybe next year?
Have a good day all......xMortgage-free for fourteen years!

OK I am not pregnant...lol
But why all of s sudden the last 2 days I am craving and eating radishes??? I have always liked the odd one, and don't buy them from one year to the next, but I have munched my way through a whole packet in the last day or so, and I want to go and buy more lol..
Home now as I have bad headache, and not feeling rightWork to live= not live to work0 -
"Weight loss
As radish is a very filling food, it easily fills up the stomach and satiates hunger while not giving the consumer very many calories. In addition, radishes contain very less amount of digestible carbohydrates, but are very high in roughage and water content. Therefore, people who are trying to lose surplus weight may find radishes to be an excellent food"
:T:j
apparently good for piles too0
