    I've been Money Tipped!
    Popping back in :hello:

Hope you are all keeping well and it is as sunny as it is here today (although according to the forecast it isn't going to last)

Have had an exhausting few weeks. Mr BD was slow to recover fully from the flu and it has been a roller-coaster with Old Dog. And in the middle of it all my brother and his family visited for a few days.

Well, Old Dog is still with us, although there have been some tears as she has been so poorly. She did have to go on a drip at one point, and has had numerous injections and is on her 3rd course of antibiotics. The gabapentin does seem to be controlling her pain but she can't go back on the anti inflammatory yet as they irritate the stomach. She still isn't back to eating normally, but thankfully the incontinence seems to be lessening (currently got old sheets down on all the carpets, and the washing machine is working hard).

The vet does know us well, and he will say if he thinks it is not worth continuing. She does seem to have perked up somewhat, it is now a matter of getting her eating normally again. But it is a nasty bug that the dogs got, its only in the last couple of days the other dog started eating normally, and this morning he had the runs again :(

My greenhouse has arrived, and hopefully Mr BD will put it up for me at the weekend.

The peregrine chicks have hatched - well it appears at least two have.....

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

evenog .... clear sunny day but a bit chilly again. im hoping they have it wrong re the weather change at the weekend ! got visitors and don't want rain !

well ive still heard nothing from the horses owner which is odd as she normally replies within the hour ??

ive been planting bedding plants each evening this week. im slowly getting there ! sweet peas went in last night amongst the clematis so should replace the flowers through the foliage..

apparently mum has had lurking people in cars in her close looking at the house... they know its by appointment only and not starting till next week but at least they are keen....

CTC, I have an early sowing of mangy toos in the polytunnel and another lot will be set going for outside soon, but I'm getting a bit behind with my veg. :o I've been concentrating on grass before the weather breaks, so everything has now been cut at least once, even the roadside verges and the fallow chicken orchard. :D

Glad old dog is still with you and battling-on, Better Days :).....Mr BD too, of course! ;)

Very relieved that my brushcutter is not in need of a service, or on its way out, as I need it rather almost daily just now. As soon as I switched from Tesco petrol, it returned to its normal, reliable self, so you can guess what I won't be buying again! I hardly ever buy from there anyway, but it was a case of convenience trumping everything at the time. Don't even have a Club Card. :p

This years multi-layered pot - tulips, daffs, pansies, hyacinths. Fight!

Mum and dad remain in hospital, I've felt awful all week with a persistent cough, aching joints etc. despite taking Wed and today as sick leave

No rain here either. I thought it might just reach the coasts and moors here, but we're in line for some tomorrow.

It was almost raining in Barnstaple when we left there. The cashier in Lidl said with great precision, "It will begin raining at 2.15." Looked like she might have been right. :undecided

Still glad I cut the grass yesterday. :D
