hi all
glad you have better weather choille
been lovely here but as we are near the river/solent we get a sharp wind sometimes and its a case of heading round a corner to escape it !
mums been told 4 people want to view her house !! but she has said not till next week.. my sister and OH are here for the weekend and she doesn't want to be arrrsed with "people" yet..:D
people are picking up the stuff ive sold next Saturday so that's good. people who bought old caravan STILL haven't picked it upI offered to relist it for them but they said no , they wanted it ... well they had better shift em selves... its 6 weeks now ..
good idea to join the greenhouses if they fit CTC.. plus you save the glass from both ends to infill elsewhere .
re forest/hill fires, we had a bad one on the hants /dorset border not long ago.. kids apparently ..
son fell into bed this morning after a long night at work . missed him before he went on shift tonight so not sure if a fire/accident or what..
his girlfriend is coming over from Canada for 2 weeks in may.. this commuting must cost a bomb but they seem to cope ! :rotfl:
also heard the 2 involved with the local murder got life ... minimum 30 years..0 -

ive noticed if I spy on them from afar they seem to sort of get on... the minute I appear its all hell let loose ?? stan is really friendly to me and maybe goose gogs is jealous .... or confused !!
I make sure I don't talk to stan and sadly ignore him and it calms down... a bit. minute im gone it calms more. so I will see what the next few weeks tells. the geese over the field have hatched their babs now so the hormonal "chorus" may change things... I don't know if im just hoping !0 -

hi all.... we have just read/checked all the paper work re the loan hoss's and the cheeky woman had asked "to remember" to bring all the English tack they came with etc.. we have a receipt for all the tack which we PAID her for !! as it was supposed to be a forever home here, she sold us all the tack .... so she has a surprise coming !!0

Alfie does it say forever home in the agreement???
is there anyway you can invoice her for 'something' that would be the value of the ponies??
I know at the end of the day they are her ponies.. and it was a 'long term loan' ( or did it say perminant loan?) so they do belong to her...Work to live= not live to work0 -
Funny how people's memories fail them when convenient, alfie.
The day began early for me today, as I normally let the hens out circa 06.30 and then I go back to the house to wake up properly. However, going into the barn to fetch their feed, I heard a swooshing noise coming from the workshop, which didn't sound like good news. It wasn't, the water supply pipe had blown out of the stop c0ck, fortunately, not all the way and it hadn't happened long before my arrival, so I was able to turn it off before any real damage was done.:)
Then I thought, "Hang on, we didn't have a stop c0ck in here!"
We didn't....but then DW told me, BiL put one in last autumn for his caravan.
Hmm!
There were definite shades of deja vu. Back in 2006, when we were renovating Dad's bungalow, I walked in the door one morning, just in time to see a fitting under the sink give out in exactly the same way. Had I been 10 minutes later, the whole new kitchen would have been papier mache.
No need to tell you who did the plumbing! :rotfl:0 -
Another wall-to-wall sunshine day, but with news that it won't last much longer, I drove up the field in the van and collected all the firewood cut in the winter. The ground doesn't usually allow the van do that sort of work in April, so it was great, getting the wood into the yard ready for cutting, all in one fell swoop.
It's the viewing of the Panto DVD tonight. We'll all sit around the big screen, eat, drink and make rude comments. I haven't even seen the official photos yet......I bet there are some crackers. :cool:0 -
Dave - the BIL sounds like he aint no plumber. Goodness, just as well you went that way at the early hour.
The fancy fir tree that was really sloping over after the gales is now no more. I couldn't right it & it had become very large. Unfortunately there was a nest in it & four eggs (blackbird's)- so I feel really bad. But it does look so much better away. Really opened up the shrubbery.
Gorgeous day here so played outside.
Having a real problem with cold calls - been livid. Also someone who is a nuisance has flooded our area with their sheep. OH went round yesterday & the guy was really nasty.0
