    Anyone grown electric daisies?

We tried last year and killed them in hardening them off......oops. I just bought fir a packet ( he was really sad about their demise) but wondering what to actually expect.......if we waited till much later could we just sow in situ?
how about in a raised bed [above ground frost level] or in a cold frame ? they are a as such tropical plant so prob need day sun rather than wet/moist morning sun ? sheltered sun spot in other words...
im off to collect sheep soon. ive moved our old gals up to top paddock with a shelter. took forever as granma sheep walks 20 paces, lays down. thinks about it then gets up again....

Hurumph. Pretty enough for sheep I suppose, Sheep all being sheep.

Who am I kidding, you'll know I think they look lovely. Maybe with your great shelters the old girls might benefit from early shearing? No idea really, just thinking it might be easier to keep them warm / protected on the cool days rather than cool on hot days?

they are actually LATE in being sheared [old gals] the equally old shearer is having his shears sharpened and t'aint got em back yet :o so in the next week or so all 4 will be shorn .
meant to say to you, apparently if you put a ring of sheeps wool around plants etc the sluggies wont cross it ! they cant ,apparently, "get a grip".... :D so shall I save you some ??

been offered a one off soay ewe... keep hearing different versions of how they are ! seems they are pretty self sufficient, shed their own wool, hardy BUT are they escape artists as some think ?? will it become more calmer if with old gals and these 2 newbies who are fairly calm and can hand feed.... don't want to see a soay disappear over the fence ....

Wow, soay is something I might almost get excited about! That's more my idea of a sheep!

No idea about keeping her though. Choille might have more idea, or RAS?

    Yes please.

I am going to try again with delphiniums because it doesn't feel like a garden without them, even if they are only silly white ones for now ( seriously white delphiniums when all the blues in the range to choose from..........I need to get the back garden going so I can get more colour in my life!)
