Sorry to hear Mr BD is more than 'one degree under' and that your trip's cancelled, Better Days. I recommend whisky rather than Lemsip for ailments like that. I do this because they are both things which dull your senses, as distinct from 'curing' you, but the whisky is more pleasurable.

You wouldn't believe the catalogue of woe in the electrician's latest email. It reads like a script for East Enders.

In essence it just means, "Not with you till Monday!"

Thanks Dave - unfortunately Mr BD doesn't like whisky ;) Lemsip is the strongest thing we have in the house atm :o. One of our kind neighbours popped to the shops for us and got another couple of boxes for us so we are well stocked up. I doubt it shortens the illness, but makes the symptoms a bit easier to cope with.

Suspect that is more of a manifesto promise than a something you could take to the bank :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

    morning all,

sun is out at mo, but they have given rain for later...

this week as been a bit of a poop week, with things no going to plan, and other things with the ranch etc..( bloody stonemason)

so its time to have a re-think...

its suprising one little remark they make, opens yours eyes to what they are doing, and just trying to use your for a cash cow..( well confirm what I have been thinking for a while)

I was so mad yesterday by his remark. my bloody pressure must have been through the roof, as I started getting my dizzy wired spells again, haven't had them in a long time... couldn't sleep either...

even though I didn't say anything.. I think he could see by my reaction to what he said, he dropped a clanger..

right a nice cuppa is in order.. and a weekend to start re-thinking..lol..

    Good Morning :)

Phoebe so sorry to hear your news, I will be thinking of you and your family.

Better Days it is a shame you have had to conacel your trip, can it be rearranged for a later date?

Alfie surely the mouth discomfort should have eased by now, can you call the dentist and ask for advice or a stronger painkiller?

Dave and CTC how frustrating things are not going to plan.

LIR glad you got good news at your appointment.

Anyone heard from Rozee or Rhiwfield?

Not done anything else in the garden since last weekend although if the weather holds I will be out there over the next few days and gently encouraging the rest fo teh family to come and help too ;)

Quite glad that I didn't get things planted out in the broken greenhouse as we have a had a couple of hard frosts (had to scrape the car ) and it would not have helped them thrive. This weekend however I have everything ready to get things sown indoors and I will do that before starting on the many many other tasks I have awaiting me in the garden.

I found a local glazing company that do greenhouse glass so I am hoping they will not be too expensive. We looked at the plastic type sheeting recomended on here (Ithink it may have been Dave?) however we do not have the tools to cut it to size so think we will just have to stick with glass.

When we went to the garden centre last week I was very tempted by one of these http://www.themalverncollection.co.uk/product/index/id/26 however as we don not have a penny to our name it will have to remain a dream :rotfl:

That's possibly because you are using Internet Explorer, the latest version of which isn't compatible with MSE. :(

It's the reason I switched to Firefox. :D:p

But....I don't get the email alerts any more. It's possibly due to being with BT and no one at MSE Towers seems interested, so I may have to open a gmail account.

Joys of modern technology eh? :rotfl:

No Rummer, it wasn't me recommended plastic windows - they often blow out.
