Just spent 8hrs in hospital with mum having her C bits taken off. Wizz back home for dogs now an airport run ! Sunny day here.0

Hope Mum is doing well alfie.
Started off tomato seeds this afternoon as it warmed up a bit outside. The chickens came into the shed to 'help' and I had to keep an eye on them to make sure they didn't decide that the expensive F1 seeds were a tasty snack.;)
I had the bag of compost up on the bench and one of the chickens decided that the bag was well worth exploring and she took great umbridge when I put my hand in to get out some compost.
Came back in and there was a power cut. Couldn't even look up on the internet to find out whyIt is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

...and prices to match! :rotfl:Almost as bad as where I used to live, but the fish n'chips in Llantwit Major were worth a detour.
The other 'posh' bit of Southern Wales is Monmouthshire. We used to be able to afford property there, so long as it was right next to to the A449/A40/M48......:(0 -
LOL .. Davesnave... yep there are prices to match,
lovely day here weatherwise too,
but the twonk of the lorry driver turned up late yesterday expecting us to load him, when he was booked in for this morning, he them went, and went back to the depot where he has now duely been sacked.. so now waiting for a trailer to come down from Birmingham.. not going to be here until 2- 3pm.. not good news when most of the staff finish at 3pm. so it looks like its just going to be 4 of us.. dreading it, so we told the transport company if we cant finish it.. tonight, tuff boobies we will finish it off in the morning.. its hard graft when there is a full team on board...
FK, you don't fancy a few hours heavy graft work do you lol??Work to live= not live to work0 -

Well, it is, for property with land/character, apart from a small bit squashed between the motorways and the Severn Estuary....though about half of it is virtually empty due to the terrain.
One of my regrets is not going for a place which was 3 miles up a wee valley between the M4 and Penhow....but we could still hear the motorway. It was accessed off the rather obscure Junction 23a, which always seemed like Platform 93/4 in Harry Potter! :rotfl:
Good market at Abergavenny, and probably Monmouth too.
Smart people might buy in somewhere a bit cheaper, like Caerleon or Cwmbran, and still enjoy many of the scenic benefits of the area.
Talybont reservoir between Abergavenny and Brecon is worth a visit on a nice day. DD2 and I were going to walk right around it on a sunny afternoon 'soon,' but that was 6 years ago now!
Whoops... I seem to have come slightly out of the area....:o0 -
Yes the scenery is lovely round there. My friend lives in Undy - how does that score on the 'posh-o-meter' at Dave Towers???
:o:o:o
We don't get over there very often, it's not a good journey, east to west. This time we're going on Friday lunchtime - so hopefully the traffic wont be too bad. Always have a lovely time when we actually get there.I was at college with my friend in the 1980's, and we later shared a house when we lived in London - it's great to keep in touch.
