Kiwi has been out I. The haybarn this morning. Two little scrawny brown rats no longer live here, or anywhere. Bloody mild winters.......0
-
Good for kiwi.
One of the local moggies who lives near the plots is proving to be an excellent ratter; she will drop her offering at our feet.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
With the plasterers and builder in, I think ours are currently in the barn as well.
They won't be ratting, though; more like snoring! :rotfl:0 -
Morning all
Dull, damp but not too cold.
How did the plastering and building go yesterday Dave?
Mr BD's first night of panto went well, although he forgot his lines within the first minuteStill, saying to the prompter 'and what is my next line please?' got a good laugh.
Rained yesterday, but so far chimney repair seems to be working:D
Old dog getting very frail, I think there may be a difficult decision needed soon....:(:(:(It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

morning all.... quiet night on here last night..? presume all watching our apparent "british icon" fall off the stage at the BRITS...
:rotfl: shouldnt laugh but it was a corker !! it is drizzling here so far and turned cold
it was between 12 and 14 degrees yesterday !! im so glad ive got my open fire going , so cosy at night. hope all building works are progressing well with everyone. im waiting for a phone call to pick up my son at lunch time after his teeth implants [1st stage] . they are drilling and putting the screw things in. dont envy him !:( its been a long process........ scans and tests as he had an accident when he was about 10 that smashed his top jaw line and he has had 2 false teeth and 2 that were put back at the time but have gone past their sell by date now so hes going for the lot to be done. expensive !!! my caravan has almost hit the 2,000 views mark
had some brilliant comments re the add..;) lets hope they can shift the bluddy thing in one piece  i have images of it falling apart as it rumbles over the cattle grid
right im going to do some pruning to take my mind off my poor lad ......... keep warm, keep safe [especially choille without her window

Sorry to hear old dog is going downhill, Better Days. You'll know when the time's right.
Plastering's ongoing. There are 3 of them here today.
We hope they'll finish the extension and then move on to Bed 3 tomorrow. We need a bedroom to move into soon, so that we can attack Beds 1 and 2.
Builder is away now for a while, giving us a chance to play catch-up. I've sowed nine pots of seeds this morning already.:D
I thought I was late with my sowing, but when I re-used an old label lying on the bench, it turned out to be for exactly what I'd just sown....and the date on it was............ 26/02/14! So, it looks as if things are 'normal.'
Just off to the dentist myself in an hour, alfie. It's marvellous what they can do with teeth nowadays; the only crown thing I have is better than me real teef.Builder told me the petite blonde has left, so I'll get a 'nice bloke' instead. :undecided
Another chance to say "Ooh, young man!!!" ???(My opening line a week ago.:rotfl:)0 -
well ive got son home ....:o i do not envy him ! the anesthetic is wearing off and the pain is kicking in. quick trip to booties to stock up on painkillers and mouthwash
will be a few months before he gets his "teeth" in now. as long as the bone works he will be ok... well its still raining and iv an airport run at 3.30..

Dang
Raining and roof is leaking again:(
Looks like it's running along the inside of the felt to the chimney then down the chimney along the joist and into the bedroom. Problem is trying to work out where it is coming in in the first place. Do you think we need to take off the felt to find out?It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Hope your son isn't in too much pain alfie
Dentists can prescribe super dooper painkillers if it is really bad - a friend had some when she had some implants done.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Do you think we need to take off the felt to find out?....... if its the capping then depending on access and height it will mean good ladder work or scaffolding. at least if it is following the line to your chimney , chances are builder will at least know a line to locate entry........p.s. complete long shot but it doesnt have anything to do with any water tanks/piping in your loft ?
