Soooo funny ~ having baboons bounding around on the slope would certainly give your nosy neighbours something to look at!! :rotfl:'A watched potato will never chit'...0

Yes, my old teacher's inferential comprehension kicked-in, so I thought that's what you meant, but sadly, gabions aren't half as much fun as baboons.
Digging another hole today.I always seem to be digging holes! This one is in front of the garage door that we shall be bricking-up. The garage is surprisingly well-constructed but there is just a 9" thick slab across the doorway, so we need to get under that and cast extra footings beneath it to satisfy ourselves and building control. Underpinning.

Quite heavy snow so stuck really.
Feels really quite cold with the wind so not done much outdoors. Massive thunder cracks this morning so there must be fronts coming in - massive headache - always get a cracker when it's thundery. Can hardly open my eyes.0 -
Curl up and kip choille. Sounds like that might be heading this way?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Lovely bright, sunny day here today - albeit blooming cold - so perfect for my Birthday trip to Birmingham Art Gallery to view the Pre-raphaelite collections which were most impressive
Then lunch at the Balcony in Selfridges - very civilised
Just got back to the carpark and the sleet started, so that was luckyMortgage-free for fourteen years!

50:50 day here, with bright sunshine one minute and squally hail or rain the next. I was the only one working out of doors.
Hearing that there would be no leccy tomorrow, our builder brought over his generator, which had stood idle in his shed in the 4+ years since his son gave up kart racing.
I offered to go and get some fresh petrol, because I was sure that fuel over 4 years old wouldn't be much use. However, I decided to give the thing a few pulls to see what might happen first. On the third one, it started...... I hardly need to mention, it's a Honda. :T

Happy Birthday Phoebe:beer: - have good one.
Yucky day & poorly lamb back in shed as he does seem okay one minute & down the next so he's better off in there where I can molly him a little. He's not up to bullying at the trough so he's quite happy with his own grub & hay & water & I've got the heat lamp on in there so he's snug - don't know what else to do really.
Chucking it down & had a cracker of a head all day - seems like yet another front coming in - milder, but incredibly wet - when will it stop raining as everywhere looks like a paddy field.0 -
Ohhh happy birthday phoebe
Hope you've had a good day so far :j:j:j
Sunny and chilly here this morning. Then changed to rain and hail and chilly this afternoon. Check up at dentist and all ok.
Builder coming tomorrow to fix the chimney leak, hope it is just a case of sorting the flashing. No baboons in the garden to pester him thankfully
Mr BD out every evening this week. Dress rehearsal tonight with wig and makeup (you didn't get the full monty unlike Dave in the photo I posted last week).
Old dog went out for her first short walk since she fractured her leg - she seems to be OK thank goodness. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
