Yes LIR, hopefully this will be the last Winter in the van. I really couldn't cope with another - even the thought of it spurs me on.
It's been a raw wind out there today & the sky is really clear so it'll all freeze again tonight.0 -
ive just spent the last half hour thinking my eye sight was failing and the need for another eye test.... when i realised one of my glasses lens'es had fallen out
trouble is im walking round looking out of one eye to try and find the bluddy thing ! my spare pair are in the car and i dont really want to go out there....

I ducked CTC :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Big fright this morning.
Mr BD couldn't wake Old Dog up. Thought she'd had a stroke. I lifted her head gently, stroked her and no response, then suddenly she opens her eyes wozzily as if to say 'can't a girl get a good night's sleep round here?' What a relief.
Must be a gabapentin haze. She seems pretty happy on it, tempted to try some myself, absolutely exhausted today. Everything that has been going on in the house has caught up with me.
Few snow flurries yesterday, but that is all. Very cold. Mr BD's mission to remain in shorts all winter whilst on delivery is being sorely tried this week.:eek::eek::eek:
The moulting hen seems to have worked out that when it is so cold she needs to be inside. Either she has to go through the sqwaking indignity of being caught up and sat in a cat carrier or she goes into the coop of her own accord. She is opting for the latter. Crop is full by the end of the day so she is getting out enough to eat.:D:D:DIt is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

I saw some students in shorts in Exeter on Wednesday, but it was a balmy 8c at the time. :cool:
On the whole, the fashion for shorts hasn't really caught on among the postmen/women here.
They're promising us temperatures like that today, but there's not much sign of it at present. Looks like another day of indoor jobs.0 -
managed to blag a box of these for free, but there is pallet loads of other bits as well, some of the packaging is water damaged etc.. he did tell hubby to make him an offer for the whole lot lol
did try and find these on the interweb, but cant find them anywhere so don't know what they were retailing for.. I am thinking if there is any call for these and if there would be any money in them lol.
they are for flower arranging. so this is why I thought it might be potential 'add on sales' lol
but if anyone wants one, I can post one out to you..Work to live= not live to work0
