Well my emergency fund will be going down by £200 today, which I will replace tomorrow (pay day).... so no increase for January unfortunately. I am really fed up as it would have gone up to £800 tomorrow, but unfortunately I woke up to find most of the fence panels had gone so I will have to replace them.
Shouldn't complain to much, I have the cash to replace them and its minor damage compared to what some poor folk are suffering with like floods, no power, evacuation etc.Well Behaved women seldom make history

Well, for some reason the members list has gone from post #1. I think it might have been accidentally edited by the MSE team when they removed the notice about the thread being included in the weekly email.
I am slowly rebuilding it but it may take a day or two, so I will welcome the new members and will allocate you your numbers in due course as the list is re-built.
UPDATE.
During the rebuild proces, it has become obvious that not all members got isued a number. If your member number is #30 or higher, please recheck the list in post #1 as your number may have changed.Never Knowingly Understood.

How frustrating for you, patman, having to do the list again:eek:. Good on you for doing it so quickly:beer:
Have been sorting all my accounts out ready to give my 2016 savings some welly:j. Have tried to organise things and simplify my record-keeping so that I know exactly what is going into which savings 'pot'. Not talking about big amounts as my incomings are limited but at least I won't be forever transferring small amounts from one place to another and back again all the time:T
I do a lot online such as banking etc but I like my records in pen and notebook form;).0 -
thanks Patman! so sorry you have redo it.
After insuring both cars my emergency fund is at 650 pounds but to give myself a clean slate for 2016 I have decided to use some of it pay off my credit cards - 214 which leaves me with 436 pounds.
Hopefully I should be able to add to it in January. Just not sure how much. Wanted to pay into the Isa..... hmmm.
And I am going to have work out a different system for the car insurance.....I mean that isn't really an emergency is it!!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a lovely Christmas.
I've been steadily building up my EF, currently at £400. I'm also trying to build up a separate car tyre fund of £300 just in case we have to suddenly replace any of our tyres (they're around £160 each!! :eek:).
I'm going to use the two months where there is no council tax d/d to help build up the funds, £125 in to each one.
I need to get the EF up to £1k by Summer 2017, so it's looking good so far!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
