  • After having to use our emergency fund for car repairs before Xmas it's back to 0 unfortunately! I've now got one of those savings tins that need a tin opener to open with a 52 week savings plan on it. Hopefully we can save around £700 by the end of the year if we don't touch it. Just need to make sure that I have all our expenses planned and saved for like new car tyres lol. I'm not quite sure what my number is sorry x

    Hi

At least you had you EF to fall back on. It will soon build up again :)

  • Added a few pence again today. Need to get enough over my target for my car insurance at the end Feb.

That way I can hang on the £1000.

Last years insurance was £238 for the year. Will shop around and get it for a little less this time. (I hope) :)

MOT due in March so will probably take a hit then. At least I have it eh

    Keep going all :D

  • Hello can I please join this challenge? I've been trying to save my £1000 emergency fund for ages (I love Dave Ramsey), but I always end up using the funds to cover bills. BUT I am extra determined to save as much as I can in 2016.

    Thanks!
    Whatever it takes.

  • Hello hope everyone had a good and cheap xmas, is there such a thing.

Well my ef went down to zero :( I built it up to £600 in Sept but knew I would need it to see us through the complete change of routine as I started uni and needed new glasses and xmas blah blah blah.

Well its def not a failure as things would have been very trick without it but its time to start again so £5.18 rounded from bank to ef

    Happy 2016 to all.

To those asking to join, please be patient. When the original list is complete then I can add you and allocate you a number.
