  • I hope Morrison stop asking me if I have a Mix and Match More card or whatever its called or I'm going to find shopping there intolerable.

Just like Iceland always asking if I have a bonus card. I don't even know what one is. I assume it's just some card for board house mums that shop there every week. Who knows.

Ha! I hardly ever shop there but have a card 'just in case' but went in last week and they didn't ask me so forgot to use it, DOH!

What a useless loyalty scheme, and the staff's knowledge in one store to another is different so think it will only be used for petrol if I am low and near them and they are cheapest!

It advertises an extra 150 points on bananas, I was told at the till no you won't get them as you have to spend £15 for it to trigger.

Hand over voucher with temporary card and am told that I can't use it until my proper card comes through. But the guy at the other store told me my temp card can be used AS NORMAL and would accept vouchers until the proper one came!!!

What if the card doesn't come before voucher expires.

Our local morrisons constantly have prices wrong so you can never do a quick shop as you end up having to sort that out too.

Sorry morrisons it might be a twenty minute extra walk to your competitions but it's simply not worth it.
Don’t put it down - put it away!

Ah I was wondering about the "get LOADS of points for buying this", thinking I was going to have to sign up just to not be penalised when they inevitably raise the prices on non comparison items to pay for this rubbish. If you have to spend £15 to trigger even for these silly offers then it's nonsense.

I'm not surprised the staff's knowledge varies, I love the Morrison's staff but feel sorry for them having to promote this, it's like they have a pile of dog.... food on a tray and are saying would you like to try this and then having to deal with the dirty looks...

I think the criticisms on here are unjustified.

As several posters have pointed out - the entire point of a loyalty scheme is to get customers to return.

I usually shop at Morrisons but regularly do a top up at Sainsbury's which is near work, both "Superstores", some of the prices in Sainsbury's are eye watering compared with Morrisons.

To me, these loyalty scheme are a bonus and don't affect who I chose, I like Morrisons combination of value and quality.

No-one else has been brave enough to include the discounters in their price promises?

I don't think there can be any doubt that Morrisons offers considerably better value for money than Sainsbury's. I also agree with the posters on here who say that Morrisons' meat is better by far - and it's cheaper, too!

Sainsbury's pitch isn't based on price, however. It seems to have managed to convince some shoppers that it is nearer Waitrose as a 'shopping experience' (ghastly phrase!) and that pleases some people.

Times change, however. At a time when people felt prosperous, they possibly didn't care so much that Sainsbury's prices were high but once the recession hit and wage stagnation set in, people started to notice - and to care.

Sainsbury's is now in an awkward position. Those who want to save money go to Aldi and Lidl and, maybe, Asda. Those who want perceived high quality will go to Waitrose.

Where that leaves Morrisons, I'm not sure. Sadly, I don't think they are, either.

I have a petrol card for Morrisons and will have to ask in store if the points can be transferred across from it to the new card. I went and put some petrol in my car yesterday and tried handing over the petrol card and it was chucked back at me followed by an application for a new Match & More card (or whatever it is called).

I shop in a variety of places - Co-op, Sainsburys, Aldi and Morrisons. There are foods that I like that are sold by all so I visit them all. Morrisons do at least sell beetroot in small jars which is enough for me and it doesn't go to waste.
  • The Morrisons Miles petrol card ends at the end of November. All points can be transferred to the M&M card.

If you registered your Miles card already online for the bonus points, you'll be automatically sent a M&M card to replace your Miles card.
  • Morrisons hit the hardest as they were stuck in the dark ages. No home delivery, no corner shops, no loyalty card, tired run down shops. Then it all hit back to bite them.
