I think some people are being overly critical here.

I spend approximately £ 40 - £ 45 @ Morrissons every week and in the space of two weeks I already have almost 3000 points (including a fill up at the petrol station).

I don't think it's as bad as some are making out.

  • The woman at the till today said I don't need to spend £15 to get the magical massive points offers on products (but how long will these last anyway) while another the other week said I have to spend £15.

Does anyone know the definitive answer to this?! It would have been a better scheme without this limit, really, as it just makes it all too confusing about what you do or don't get.

The way I read it the price match points and the bonus points are two separate things.

There is no minimum spend to collect bonus points offered on specific items.

You have to spend a minimum of £15 for price match and the difference is given in points.

Aldi lovers, a few of them are so ashamed of shopping there they have to try and make out all the other supermarkets are even worse than Aldi. That way they don't feel so ashamed of shopping at Aldi.

95% of Aldi shopper are good people, it's just that odd 5% who put other supermarkets down at every opportunity.

    Ridiculously overcomplicated scheme.

    Typical Morrisons rubbish.
  • They should just strip out half the expensive middle management they have at head office and use that cash to cut prices.

I like money in my pocket not points. If I wanted points I would have got a Tesco Clubcard years ago.

Not convinced that the German supermarkets are consistently cheaper than the established leaders. The stocks of food vary to much from one week to another to allow sensible shopping. Much of the stock is of unknown brands and do not generally provide intelligible information on sugar and fat content . If Morrisons are going to compare and recompense against lower figures from Asda and Lidl as and when they occur this can only be a bonus compared with the other supermarkets offering a more limited comparison. May well switch to them and if their products are as good as my current supermarket of choice they could well gain a customer.

I vary between Aldi and Morrisons for my weekly shop. Went into Morrisons today and was issued a new Match & More card. I did my normal shop costing around £60. I already have over 2500 points!

I do quite like Aldi (no Lidl in our area) but I find the fresh fruit and veg do not keep very well and the bread (all brands) is stale when you get it home. I think I will probably continue to be an Aldi/Morrisons butterfly for the time being.

I just shopped and got 8790 points and I expected a £5 coupon to pop out, there was nothing. I asked about this and was told it will pop out tomorrow! !!! We will see. Is there anyway to see what gives extra points please?
