    Just looked back and I don't think I did an October total :eek:
    Historic debt is nearly below £1k :j
    Roll on December 31st :)
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

    Oopsie, forgot the car off of my debt calculations :eek:
    Best thing is we already have over half the amount outstanding saved in an ISA, but it's still a big figure :(

    £11,814 outstanding as of October added on to the other debts gives us a new overall total of £14,684.
    Baby steps makes it sound better, will be glad when the end of the year stuff is cleared :)

    I like the thought of baby steps.

    with all the BT deals, at least it's not costing you interest.

    You'll do it dipdap. keep at it :D

    Hello diary :)
    Spent a wee bit too much cash recently :o
    New clothes, pressies and Christmas food, it's all adding up :mad:
    Working 6 days a week still so not had time to sit and work out the money situation :(
    Thinking I may have to revisit it in the new year. At least all the extra money I'm earning will cover the over spending :o

    Morning diary :)
    Waiting to find out if payday has been moved to before Christmas (it usually is)
    Would be nice to know what date so I can plan the bill paying better :mad: will probably be Friday 23rd as that's the last bank day before Christmas.
    Need to work out how much I've paid the council tax over the year as I'm sure I'm nearly paid up. Would be nice to have Jan, Feb and March without having to pay that.
    Need to check the water bill too, I know that one used to work the same :think:
    Better throw myself in the bath while the kids are at school :)

    Edit: just found out I can check my council tax online. I only owe £130 this month and then nothing until the new bill next year :j woohoo!

    Good evening diary :)
    Well I'll start with the first bit of good news, the rest of the money came in from DH accident so that was £800 in the bank midweek (after he'd chased it up) :j
    The second bit of good news is we've finally cleared off the 0% part on the credit card which was due to finish at the end of the month :j (using the £800 that came in)
    That means we've finally cleared off all our historic debt and the only debt we now have is the car and 2 lots of 0% on 2 credit cards (one from Xmas shopping and 1 from the car deposit).
    Can't wait for 2017 to start, need to get those cards cleared and the car debt paid off too (that's £10k :eek: )

    Morning diary :)
    Thanx for swinging by DB :wave: and hello and thanx for reading my diary Kanoona :wave:

    Well i sat down and read the first post of my diary again this morning and saw just how far we've come debt wise since I first started on here so thought I'd post the figures overall.....

    2009 = £63600
    2010 = £62200
    2011 = £55200
    2012 = £47900
    2013 = £37600
    2014 = £26000
    2015 = £7520
    2016 = £2500

    These are taken from August every year so the bottom one is a couple of months old.
    It's scary when I look at how big some of the older figures are, although they seem a lifetime ago now.
    My mindset towards debt has changed massively, I hate going impulse shopping now (I remember years ago when the oldest was still in a buggy I spent several hours in a big shopping centre, I'd be done in no time now). I've always loved a bargain, but now know it's only a bargain if you need or will use it!
    Hubby is still work in progress :D when he goes shopping he buys what he needs at the first opportunity, he's not one to shop around (I will drum it into him!) and he hates going shopping with me :D luckily for him they invented the Internet so it makes it easier than it used to be.
    Better get on, lists to check and pressies to start wrapping :)

    Happy Christmas Eve diary :)
    Pressies are all wrapped and I've now settled down into bed for a good long sleep.
    Been working flat out these last few weeks to earn extra money and now Christmas is just a few hours away :j
    I said after Christmas / new year I'd ease off a bit but the money I've been earning is still tempting me into doing just as many hours :o
    Better get some shut eye, I'll pop in tomorrow to let you know how my Christmas Day has been :)
