Wow-ee. And then there was more!!! Well done AGAIN. Are the coffers really empty now or could there be more p&fs to follow?
    Exceptionally well done Broggers.
And I'll be very interested to hear about mortgage and pension thoughts.

    Thanks Verb :)

There is a little more before the coffers are empty…….I am in discussion with Carboot (take out one letter….sorry two letters….the ’r’ and one of the ‘o’s’) and I have made a ‘down payment’……..wild ;)…….and I have also firmed up a deal on one of Mrs B’s with the same lovely people :D.

I will post all as soon as I have time when I can keep my eyes open without matchsticks….it might help somebody as these sort of things written by others have helped me :).

In the meantime I have been rash and bought two new work suits. Went to get one and ordered two as there was a discount. I have to go to one particular place for these as my inside leg at 34” is too long for S&M and most other ordinary ‘off the peg’ retailers….. Anyway, one charcoal grey and the same suit again in navy blue – had to do it unfortunately. I’ll have to look for some matching underpants :rotfl:!!

    Speak soon

  • Can I suggest you try and get a second pair of pants for each jacket? It really extends the life of a suit.

I think I have only managed that once INOD. You can do it in Mr T / S&M but the sizes there are for shorties so no good for me :(

It is true though.......the trousers wear out when you are in and out of the car particularly. I once split a pair 100 miles from home when due into a big meeting :o !! I just had to carry a file behind my back. I was worried that the ladies might lose control :rotfl:!!

    Thanks Granny :) !!

Its not really treating myself because they are for work. :( If it was my choice I'd be buying jeans :) They wear out slowly and don't suddenly leave one in the lurch :o

Glad you are having such a fab time :)

    Bye bye S'Bugs :T

Mrs. B's S'Bugs credit card debt with Carboot has left the building :T !!!!

Settlement of £1,738 was agreed on a debt of £4,345 (40%.) A bit of money dribbled to them after agreement which is deducted from the P&F amount SO.........£1,728 paid and.....DEFUNCT DEBT :) !!

I remember the start of this lovely cc relationship. We were in our huge local S'Bugs and I wandered off to get some frozen Yorkshire puddings. As I returned I saw a man with a clipboard had hijacked Mrs. B and was filling in a form and she was signing it  !! Apparently some smooth talk about Nectar points and discounts had clinched the deal :( !! I remember this so clearly as this was very 'out of character' for Mrs. B.

When the card arrived in the post it had a limit of £9,000  !! In my pre-LBM state I was still gobsmacked that S'Bugs (HBiS) could give such as high limit to someone with no income :mad: !!

Still.......it got used :o . A couple of fights with S'Bugs ensued when they reduced the credit limit out of the blue just to punish. Just like my Sh*ttycard it was paid off in full in the remortgage ....................it was then run up again to hit its new lower credit limit. It was the source of funds for private dental treatment for DD1. This is the sort of area where life can be very difficult :( !! How does one deny a young lady treatment to starighten her teeth? They looked fine to me but she was rather hung up about them :( .....we all know the story.......stick it on the credit card and live life with a clear conscience!

I did what I did - the treatment was deemed to be a success and now the debt is...............GONE :):):)

  • I am so impressed. You're so close to halfway in both numbers and cash. I think you should ignore op on the mortgage cos while it would save some money, it would be nothing like the reductions you are getting on p&fs.
