Hi Granny
I have just finished the cottage pie.......YUMNo problems with DD2 tonight as long as I got her chips and gravy!
I didn't think you would be in touch with us whilst you were in Oz! I hope you are having a fantastic time and you know the S&M offer? That offer was made and immediately accepted based on what you advised to me quite a while ago!!
I made an offer a year ago and then had a 'work wobble' so I had to withdraw the offer. I offered twice as much as I should have done....:o...... so......this worked out best - thanks again for your help.
We must stop calling it S&M you know.......everybody will be getting the wrong idea!!!

The partial and final is a fantastic result.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Happy to help and chuffed that it worked x
How could I stay away from my friends for so long. As my Drs receptionist put it, not very politely, it's not as though I'm in the outback! :rotfl:
Life is fan blinking tastic, I'm walking loads, seeing the sights, spending time with DD, eating healthy and just generally more relaxed than I've been in ages - probably this millennium actually. I've lost a few lbs since arriving so with my next birthday fast approaching feel really great. A far cry from a year ago when I was waiting for an operation and feeling generally unwell and out of sorts.
I'm glad you enjoyed your cottage pie and that DD was happily pleased. I think you are an absolute angel with the effort you put in to keep your womenfolk happy :A
Have a great week, speak soon and good luck with westward low!

Thank you everybody
.
S&M (wooooooo :rotfl:) was just a little one but it is so nice to share a little victory with you lot. Its only by coming on here that I can speak to folk all 'singing from the same hymn sheet!' I think everybody who reads this will know exactly what I mean!
Today......I am off to burn some diesel and wear some rubber so.......onwards and upwards and I'll update later if anything develops at Brogden Manor

Brogden:)
Just had a catch up working backwards from today and have to say firstly
Hip hip hurray for P&Fs achieved while I have been offline!!!:T!:T and secondly every time I read S&M ...well...erm....and then mayo???? ;)am I missing something?
So pleased for your success!
Heavy discussion on moral compass! Am not sure what I feel personally but I have started to be convinced by this board that P&Fs are fine. Especially as every time I have spoken to SC they themselves have said the best thing to happen will be defaults followed by sale of debt to someone as the someone will usually settle for something like half of actual balance. Apparently it is only the debt itself that is sold on (excluding the interest added over the years), and that I shouldn't feel bad. Am not at that stage yet, and will do what I can to pay everything off, but would obviously be very happy if they agreed to settle for less!
(Came in for porridge for energy boost...off out again now:))

Thanks Verb and lovely to see you!!
Please don't get the wrong idea!! My passion is managing my money and ultimately moving the debt and mortgage. I have to admit the thread has touched on a few other subjects in which other forum members are interested so I blame them
