Rather than wasting your time trailing through my posts and trying to catch me out why don't you spend your time more constructivelydarkmatter101 wrote: »No, I would not fit them on my M3 because that is in an entirely different league of car to most bog standard cars on the road.
I do however have a set of Autoguards budget Chinese ones on my Yaris. My last tyres on the Yaris were Goodyears all round. Do I notice a difference? Yes, doesn't grip as well in the wet but only noticeable if I push the car in the wet. Also, if I do take high speed sharp turns (which I normally don't do for obvious reasons) it understeers a little more. My point is that I don't drive the Yaris like a prat so for me it really makes no difference whether I use budget or premium tyres . One advantage I have found with the Autoguards compared to the Goodyears is that they seem to last forever.
Two weeks ago you posted you had Goodyears fitted. Then you traded the same car in for a Lexus, now it has budget tyres that have lasted forever.
You couldn't lie straight in bed.
The more posts you write, the more you come across as a teenager sitting in his bedroom flicking through Autotrader.0 -

No, I said that I did not pay for the Lexus and no part exchange has been made yet. I still have my Yaris.
And yes I recently changed them for Autoguards as they all had just under 3mm of tread. Don't see why that's so hard to understand? My girlfriend has had the Autoguards for a while now and for my observation they seem well lasting, more so than the Nankangs.0 -

We do appear to attract these Walter Mitty characters on the forums every so often, they always do eventually trip themselves up.:D0 -
So, on that basis, what is the logical conclusion we can draw for how you (imagine you) drive this fabled M3.darkmatter101 wrote: »My point is that I don't drive the Yaris like a prat so for me it really makes no difference whether I use budget or premium tyres .
You have rather confirmed the point though. In basic cars these days the handling is more than adequate, even with budget tyres. It's not like the 70s where being told you had a car that stopped in a straight line was an anecdote to be disbelieved.0 -
So this was a complete lie and fabrication then:-darkmatter101 wrote: »No, I said that I did not pay for the Lexus and no part exchange has been made yet. I still have my Yaris.

This.
As for the M3 getting budget tyres for the required size (245/35/19 at the front and 265/35/19 at the rears) is difficult and not widely available. But even so I would stick with Michelin Cups0 -
So this was a complete lie and fabrication then:-

Again you're being sneaky because you are only showing the post, you are not showing the entire thread. Did you do that on purpose? Yes you did...
Here is it for your information:

And if you read it, I had already admitted that I hadn't paid for the Lexus. But you already knew that didn't you? You wanted to bring up something from the past and try and write false posts0 -

Erm, the point being made, quite correctly, was that the thread you started was, indeed, a complete fabrication. You even tried to continue the lie for some while, it was only after I actually RANG the dealer and booked a test drive that you admitted you'd made it all up.
Can you not see why everyone else here thinks you're an idiot?0 -
I linked to what you had claimed, that you had part exchanged your Yaris for a Lexus and went on to tell us all how wonderful it was, the fact that you later changed your mind and tried to make out that you hadn't does not change your OP in the thread which was a lie, if you are going to post fantasies make sure you don't get caught out.darkmatter101 wrote: »Again you're being sneaky because you are only showing the post, you are not showing the entire thread. So this was another untruth from a previous post in that thread.darkmatter101 wrote: »And if you read it, I had already admitted that I hadn't paid for the Lexus.darkmatter101 wrote: »I don't think I paid a lot for a top spec IS.0 -
darkmatter101 wrote: »Once you have a go at driving my car, with its rear wheel drive, zero body roll, excellent handling dynamics, fast response steering and feedback, I doubt you will ever want to drive a Ford Mondeo again.
You're missing the hideous ride quality (so bad you don't want it as a daily driver), terrible fuel consumption, massive insurance costs and massive running costs. Maybe on a nice stretch of road it's the better car, but most of us would choose the Mondeo for everything else.
The Mondeo is pretty well regarded even if it is FWD, which you can still have fun in. The X-Type is available in both FWD or AWD, though it's a heavy car so it's not *that* fast (fast enough though), whilst being really quite a nice place to be. I wouldn't swap you mine for an M3, anyway.0
