Here is my new car, a 2010 Lexus IS 250 fully loaded SE-L spec. It was part exchanged for my daily run around, a 2009 Toyota Yaris.
Of course I still have my beautiful BMW E92 M3 but I only use this car for weekends and/or spirited drives on open roads. This Lexus will therefore serve as my short journey trips in urban traffic. It's a petrol V6 2.5 litre mated to an auto. Perfect for my needs, as I wanted something comfortable, plush, automatic for urban traffic and of course a petrol to avoid all those diesel problems.
Driving:
It's a beautifully balanced car (being rear wheel drive) and the auto is well suited to that V6 engine. Very, very comfortable and just so relaxing to drive. That V6 engine is so smooth although nothing as fast as my M3 let alone the 272HP 330i, but sportyness was not the reason why I bought this car.
Interior:
The interior is definitely luxury but has a different feel to my M3. To be honest I prefer the interior of the Lexus, it feels like a much nicer place to sit in. It has all the toys that I'll ever need and the sound system (Mark Levinson 12 speakers) is probably the best I have ever heard from a car.
If anyone wants a reliable, creamy smooth V6 luxury car with handsome looks, I would confidently recommend the Lexus IS250.

15 grand for a 3 year old Toyota.

The key question in my mind:
Are you legally allowed to overtake in it?0 -
15 grand for a four year old, old shape IS. Crazy!
Could've got a newer F Sport for less.0 -
Still at least we all know what reg no to look out for now ..0

What an ignorant and silly comment to make. No Toyota is rear wheel drive or has the same V6 engine as well as sharing anything in common with the IS250. Anyone with a grain of sense would immediately notice the difference in interior, looks and driving between a Toyota Avensis and Lexus IS250.0 -

You do know who make Lexuses (Lexi?) don't you?0 -

Actually, there are several JDM Toyotas based on the same RWD platform, sharing many components and using the same engine and gearbox as the IS.0
