Morning everyone. I'm also happy to go along with whatever can be used for our next challenge:) I'm very grateful for mothernerd and Apple muncher running the last two.
Stewy, sorry to hear about that  some people are so awful and that's why I hate all these work things! So many of these instances happen.
Well I have not added up my totals, but I'm very happy with my totals this month, today is payday and I go below 5k today :j on the downside, meant to be working from home, but my system is not picking up my WiFi all of a sudden:mad: I know my wifi works, so my system will have to go in for repair. Hopefully, I'll get it back by Christmas
Well have a good Friday everyone and take care:):A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Me again everyone! I've now officially gone below 5K :j I can't say how much this means to me, as this time last year, as you can see by my sig, it was a long way off. Your probably all thinking 'Calm down, your not debt free yet love' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but I remember looking at my projections back when I joined these challenges and dreaming to make a dent! So I'm really happy, as well as the fact that now I've moved my computer system into my room, where my router is, it's working fine-well it was a 5am-I hope it's ok now  I'll log on at 7am so hopefully it's still ok and no trip in to the office as planned
Have a good day everyone

Traveller, that is brilliant :j:j. Well done on getting below the £5k mark.
Sorry I haven't been positng regularly. I was on holiday last week and didn't always have internet access. I have also been busy doing an essay for college and finalising some development work for school which took hours and hours!
I have started my November budget already as OH gets paid on the 25th of the month. OH and I sat down and had a think about the month ahead to plan our budget. it will be quite a spendy month due to:
1. My sisters 40th (her plans for this rival the Queen's Jubilee:rotfl:).
2. My neice's 6th birthday
3. House insurance due
3. Landline rental saver due
4. Finalising Christmas bits
Applemuncher thanks for running the thread this month and thanks to SOA for stepping in to do the November thread.0 -
Thank you soa - we're all on tenterhooks!!
Well done traveller - it's good to be able to see a light at the end of the tunmel.
Hope you had a good holiday, allie.
Well done stewby on getting extra work.
thrifty and PhoeniX - I was looking at kat's past November ones, about battening down the hatches. That's something I really need to do next month! I joined the challenges in Nov 2013 and have learned huge amounts each month. Still got much to learn...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thanks all
I must admit, I've stopped jumping up and down now. My daughter has an Interview with Manchester Uni for Biomedical Science in November. The cheapest fare I can get, by taking my youngest and utilising my friend and family discount is £100.00  This is throwing my budget slightly off course (well that's an understatement, lol) Good job, i'd already designated next month as a 'hard' month.

Well done traveller for reaching this mile stone :T
Today should be another SFD, so i think I made my target, just spend too much on spend days. Payday tomorrow and will do a little LIDL shop in my lunch break for the weekend and fresh stuff for next week as a big tescimo delivery is coming on Monday.

Congratulations traveller that is brilliant I wish it was me.When did you start your DF challenge? Aiming for under 6k by xmas, determined santa is not getting in the way.
Excited about November, will not be spending, pigging out and trying to increase exercise levels. Perhaps we need some healthy competition within the challenge? I would win step up onto the naughty step challenge.:D
Off work this afternoon, just want to do something positive so tidy garage, find some spare xmas decorations and take them to local dementia home who have been asking for them on facebook. I know my sister loved looking at the lights and I am fed up of putting up a forest every year.
Then long walk with my hound if she has stopped limping. Old football injury she has.
Have a good day folks, trying out my slow cooker today okay jars of sauces, and chicken - not exactly Nigella yet:rotfl:

Hi Calling-I started in September 2013. I had already decided I had to hit this head on after unsucessfullly consolidating with a loan in 2011. I decided I had to pay 500.00 per month at least come hell or high water! I was working Part-time but went Full-time to help with it. It has been hard, but not ridiculously uncomfortable. The encouragement when I joined from Kat and the gang was great. It really helped to be surrounded by people who understood where you were coming from as no-one I'm around understands where i'm coming from.
You will get there calling! Good luck:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Calling - fmess started a thread called getting fitter and trimmer. Do pop over and join us!
I have just booked dd's birthday party princess: ELSA! We are all very excited :j. Well, dh marginally less than dd and I! Maybe he just hides it well...
But then there's the cost... Half on my credit card (had to blow the dust off and sweep away cobwebs to read the number!) to keep it active. The rest - £130 - is due on the day in cash. So I have approx 75 days to find it... Think I'll go back to 'rewarding' myself with £1 in a pot for every NSD, 10k steps, workout, sugar-free day...
They offered to do party bags too - at £3.50 or £5 a pop. No chance! Not with 15+ kiddies! We are going to get some white paper bags off the web, and pop some stickers in (dh has acquired some special paper you can print on) plus a tee shirt. Dh - again - has special paper you can print onto and then iron onto the tee shirt. I am banned from doing this as I tend to burn it all!
That aside, dd and I have spent a happy few hours painting the clay decorations we cut out a few days ago and the twiggy branches I want to use at the fair. We know how to rock it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Evening all!!
SFD today as well as yesterday. Tomorrows dinner is already defrosting in the freezer. I am so happy to say I have at least surpassed my 16 SFD's for the month. I was too tired and ended up sat watching old episodes of friends, whilst Him covered the floor in pieces of a folding weights bench whilst putting it together. He effectively trapped me on the sofa...so nothing was done. Tonight I am going home, eating dinner, and then setting up in the bedroom with some music and all of my receipts, YNAB and a notepad. I shall conquer the mountain and then come back to sheepishly explain how I dropped £600 from my savings (including Christmas) in a month. And how I am going to work it back before Christmas...
Congratulations to traveller, what a dramatic difference!! Calling, and allie and anyone else wishing... you will get therejust look at our lovely Abundant this month! Everyone is going in the right direction (except me *cough*)
Thank you so much to applemuncher for an exciting and innovative thread. I have really enjoyed my triathlon. I think the cycling is for methe rest, not so much! I can see the finish line now.
SOA A batten down the hatches special would be much appreciated in November. I genuinely need a giant push to empty my cupboards, get better at cooking from ingredients and from scratch, and save money in all areas. I am also working my way through contracts etc trying to earn cashback and/or cut costs.
Thanks all
