Yo turtles
Congratulations abundant on your new found debt freedom and exciting move to a new pad! :j
Mothernerd Sounds like you are getting there slowly but surely with all your jobs, hope your brother has got back to you about the moving van
I too prefer the winter and snuggling up indoors when its cold or wrapping up warm for a wanderI also love the snow but only on my days off as driving at work can be well dodge!..
3 night shifts done and 3 sfd's achieved :T. And to top it all, today is pay day! :jHavent looked at budgets properly yet, will sit down with a cuppa a bit later and do this. I have a rough idea of what's what but need to work it out on paper.
Need to do a work food shop today, have looked at My $upermarket and spotted lots of offers so am going to load the panniers on the electric bike and do a supermarket crawl via Arseda, Morries and Te$c for the bargains
Hope you all have a good day,

Hello guys. Responding on my phone. I can't see how many posts etc have been made, or anything anyone has written. I am stuck on page 1 and replying from there.
Hope all are ok. I am enjoying my time with the family. Sad seeing my grandparents. Pop bedridden and nanny is a sad dementia suffering old lady. Not easy to see, but I feel peaceful finally. I have said my goodbyes now.
Mum much better since we got here. The power of grandchildren.
Spent way too much. Will figure it out when I get home. I am £400 down from where I started this month but the elec and gas payment came out today so that's £82 down on where I should be. Also £50 on more gifts and some household stuff I waited to buy here at the cash & carry. I hope for a fairly big rebate on the gas and electric payments I made til now, from the old supplierI've overspent but I don't care
Having a good time. Apologies if I have ignored any news... I know one thing from Kat... WELL DONE ABUNDANT!!!xx

Just quick check in from me another SFD under my belt. Trouble is the days where I have spent have been too much this month. Will update totals later.
Tired now, totally confused this morning walking the dog in daylight. Woke up well before 6am. So broke this week and next will be no spending from me. Whatever happens my credit cards will reach 6300.00 by Friday. Setting myself mini targets to stop the derailing that keeps happening.
Plan to use up my freezer contents November and just buy fruit and veg.
Have a great day folks, off work tomorrow hitting sainsbobs for nightwear for daughters xmas pressies. - 25% off day. Haven't got many to buy for so xmas is not too expensive affair. Phew.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Fmess- Hope you are enjoying your holibobs! Spanish sunshine sounds lush!
thrifty - Well done on the number crunching!
Lilt- Good to hear you are ok and are with your family!
Finally another spend free day. I am now up to: 14 sfds Hopefully will baggsy those last 2 in the next few days! Had real trouble getting my head round the fact I have had to drive home from work in the dark. Feel extra tired from it!
Monday is nearly done and dusted. All I can think about is hot chocolate and Christmas holidays! Must stop wishing my life away, well time between holidays, anyway.
Hope everyone has a good week:coffee:

Have managed another NSD, which I am pleased about. We had earmarked the day for being in, waiting for a delivery. And it was with us by 9.15! Determined to keep spend-free, I have pottered about, doing some sewing and stuffing, making soup, making clay tree decorations with dd... I have the lowest step count I've had in aaaages!
Keep plodding on, turtles. Just a few more days then we start November with renewed vigour. I, for one, have totally blown the food budget this month and still have 1 more shop to go! I want to go Primal for 21 days from Nov 1st, so MUST do some planning and relay it to my shopping list!
Those on holiday - whether here or away - enjoy, relax and recharge your batteries.
Lilt - glad you have seen pop.
Calling - the light is confusing me too, and I have no reason to get up!
Off to Londinium tomorrow, to see the poppies and Great Fire monument. And probably Trafalgar Square, to wish in the fountains! Travel is covered, and I've allocated cash for the day, so should be cheap!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Spend free day number 16 achieved and not much else. Did not sleep well as DS3 wasn't home from his convention by 11.15pm so left the front door unlocked (thought the scallies were more likely to snaeak round the back and try the back doors). Got in touch with gf on bookface and he is with her (probably hoping to stay there until after the house move).
Spent most of the morning finishing my book then had a bath and got dressed. Phone call from someone purporting to be my bank, just as I got out of the bath. They asked for my account details and seemed put out that I wouldn't tell them (I phoned them back as I didn't get to the phone in time and was expecting someone from Manchester to call today) because there is a warning on the website about people calling to ask for these details.
Went back to wash my hair and finish dressing then back to phone the bank - cue over an hour of being passed from department to department, each of whom agreed that there was nothing on my file to indicate they had called me and nothing on any of my accounts to suggest why someone should call me - I had already checked that I hadn't missed a dd, could only think they might call to sell me a loan to replace the one that ends on Saturday (but since I now have no income that counts and wont have for the next 4 months at least they arent going to give me a loan are they). Phone number of the person who called has hopefully been passed onto their fraud department.
Then got ready for someone coming to pick up a roll of wire netting. Really getting fed up of the selling / giveaways now. Had people interested in two items, first was unobtainable on the phone number they gave no matter what day or time I tried them, second made me an offer and said they would collect next day (had to get DS3 and his friend to get it round to the front of the house). Again a no show - luckily someone has taken it over the weekend or DS3 would be cross with me.
In fact the tried and trusted (though less environmentally friendly) option of putting things at the edge of the drive/ pavement and letting someone take something is giving the best results. A young mother took a large empty frame this afternoon. After an hour and a half waiting for wire netting man (gave him my mobile no in case he was lost, then tried to phone his home number - temporarily out of service) have left it outside the front door and come back upstairs to rest.
Also the meter reader managed to sneak under the radar and shoved a card through the letter box, asking for the readings - so left a note for him taped to the door for tomorrow morning, explaining why I cannot read the meters and asking him to knock (or phone my mobile) and wait.
Sorry for the grumble. The hallway and drive are filling up with cs and giveaway items so may buy an all week ticket at some point (break even is 3 day tickets) and start bus hopping back and forth - could do jobs at other house and here and rest as necessary without trying to cram too much into one day. A little success story - we have grass, so DS1's digging and raking and my fertilising and scattering seed has worked, little blades of grass (potential lawn) all except for the last bit (needs a few more days). It doesn't take much to make me happy. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Morning everyone! Spendy day yesterday as we needed more tea bags at work and I picked up some healthy snacks for my cupboard in my battle to eat less junk food, so £5.68 spent but in a good cause. Did also get a walk in as I walked to the shops. Totals below... might not hit my targets but can't believe there's only four days left of October!
NSDs: 12/16
Petrol (till 15th Nov) £40.61/£60
Groceries (till 15th Nov) £45.82/ £150
