Sorry about the blues
. I am lucky to share my house with my lovely husband, but we too have a massive list - we haven't even done the windows! Ours also includes septic tank, extension, new bathroom, new kitchen, new garage . It's daunting, but we love where we live so just have to keep planning and doing small bits of decorating when we can. We are all here to provide moral support even if we can't get rid of the Artex.
Just a thought, but try freecycle for plants. I've given away a few in the past. Or ask any friends who have green fingers to take some cuttings. Even just grab a bit pot and throw in some annual seeds at first. If you get some that self seed you are laughing every year
Could maybe get a wallpaper stripper that way too, I bet loads of people have them unused - I do, but have this theory I'm going to use it to steam hay, which I never actually do!
Anyway keep posting here - I find it really helps just to get those thoughts down on the screen.0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

Good monday morning, if there is such a thing :rotfl:
One small ebay sale over the weekend, ready to post today, money withdrawn from paypal and 92p sent to emergency and holiday respectively
Am more skint than a skint thing with skint bits. I have £8 cash in purse and £6 available in the bank  So I am out on saturday, need some money for some lunch/dinner, lunch will be covered by the £8 may need more for dinner.
So plan a - car mot and service on wednesday this week, money budgeted in savings - £305. So hoping this will be less then can use the "extra" for some spending money at the weekend.
So plan b - borrow some from savings and pay back after payday, but puts me behind.
Or plan c - I have a pile of clothes, was going to ebay but not sure if get anything for them, or if they will sell. Could cut my losses and take to cash4clothes as instant cash in wallet, probably only £10 or so but would help.
Argh hate being poorLets just see how car does on wednesday and go from there.

Thanks Debtfree, it will be worth it but its a long hard road
On a different note had hoss trainer at the weekend, went out with another friend, trainer rode hoss, friend rode her hoss (also in training) and I walked took round bridleways.
Three things came out of this
1. Hoss was really good, few looks but generally well behaved, she didnt freak out at cows
2. I am stupidly unfit, was out for hour and half maybe longer, sore feet yesterday!
3. Trainer thinks I should ride next time (in a couple of weeks) so that will be great and also solve problem 2 as wont be walking :rotfl:
I do need to get fitter though, need to find some time to programme in some more exercise :cool:Debt 13-1-25 - £39K!!!

True, but I dont do anything elseI dont drink, smoke, I hardly go out, I dont get my hair cut and coloured any more (although desperately needs a cut), I dont have fancy holidays, I have my horse and thats it. I am on my own so if I didnt have my horse then I would just sit indoors and do nothing, I need some escape from the world.
I work really really hard to try to get out of the situation I am in, its not easy but I am making real progress.
I havent added to my debt for ages, have made real progress in reduction, have managed to save up for all my big expenses this year already (car, insurance etc) and have started to make progress on my other funds which will set me up for the future.

You took on your horse when you were living with your then fiance. You weren't alone then.
I find it dishonest that you identify yourself as poor when you have a lifestyle many people can only dream of (your own home, car and horse), supportive parents who gave you a huge deposit towards your house, money to fund the extention you say you can't afford (where did the money go?) and are supporting you financially every month to the tune of several hundred pounds.
By all means say you have no money left because of your lifestyle but that is a choice you make.
You could make other choices, many people here can't.0
