  • Afternoon everyone!

Well done if you've made it to Day 16! If you haven't don't sweat it - just jump back on :)

Talking of sweat(!) you should be starting to feel more energetic now. Have you been doing any more exercise? Feeling less breathless when you do?
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Another reminder to me today to keep going and never smoke again.

My ex heavy smoker husband has COPD and has caught a cold and is coughing very badly, he can hardly sleep and is having trouble breathing today.

He is off to see our daughter at uni on the train on saturday and I'm glad my son is going with him, I feel very worried.

    Well done to everyone :)

I was diagnosed with COPD but since stopping all those months ago the symptoms have disappeared. I've been lucky.
  • How's day 17 going everyone!? Don't forget to update your signatures with how much you've saved :)

I don't know if it's talking about it here or not but I've had a craving for a ciggie over the last couple of days and I haven't smoked for over five months.

I suppose the craving is bound to pop up again from time to time,I have spoken to ex smokers who still crave a ciggie after been stopped for years.

good for you ignoring it GlynD, thanks so much for the ecig advice, day 17 and I'm still off them. very tempting as I have a stressful home life but I haven't got any money to buy them so glad the vapour stuff is lasting!

I'm a bit disappointed in Stoptober - I never got a pack after applying twice and the facebook notices are erratic too - glad to come on here occasionally instead.

Cheers off to sell my worldly possessions on ebay!

This thread is very quiet, how is everyone doing?I am on day ten and battling with myself until the shop shuts at nine
  • Sorry not been on here for a while. Glad to see everyone is doing brilliantly.

I failed last Monday and bought a pack of 20. I was so stressed which will always be a trigger for me. I can't say that it won't happen again.
Stopped again once 20 were smoked. So now on day 5.

Hello Woodster, well done to you for not buying another packet! I've gone over my overdraft limit and can't get at any money at all so I'm so glad I've stopped. I do have the e cig though and am super stressed today trying to list on ebay, it's being used! better than all the chemicals in cigs though - and I do think my teeth look whiter. I have had a cough and cold for a year and was starting to get worried especially with the adverts about 'had a cough for more than three weeks' - um yes, a year actually!

Keep going, doubt we could light one in this gale outside anyway!

  • Hey everyone! :) Good to see your updates and hey, look at that! We're almost in the last week of the challenge! It's come round so quickly (I'm sure plenty of you don't feel that way though!) and you've all done brilliantly :)

So as we're heading into our final week, what positives have really kept you on track? Have you noticed health benefits maybe? Or treated yourself to something with all that extra cash you've got now? Or maybe you're a debt free wannabe and you've been savvy with it, sinking it into any debts you've got.

Tell us about it! :) f
