well done to all who are taking part . I took part last october and haven't smoked since. it is hard but it is possible . Sainsburys are selling the Nicorette inhalator half price at the moment , and its what I used. well, I'm still using it lol Its the last box I'm buying , but it helps with the nicotine and the hand habit . good luck, don't give up .old enough for my bones to feel the cold .0

BTW, I still crave at cigarette everyday . I take my tea/ coffee to the back door , where I used to smoke , with my inhalator ( often empty ) and pretend . It works for me .old enough for my bones to feel the cold .0

Have woken up feeling a bit groggy today think I've got a cold!
Hope everyone has a good day. I've got the face the music regarding my mismanagement of our finances at the bank, glad I've got an e cig or this could probably be the end for me. I think I'm the only person I know that is so rubbish at handling money, a lifetime of idiocy.
See you tomorrow on day 14 when it's been two weeks!£216 saved 24 October 20140 -

The only way is garlic on the door, door locked, for two weeks or so and one day you'll notice he's no longer knocking.
All of which if you think through and address you will be happier person and probably even a more successful and enlightened person generally.
Once you have the nicotine out of your system you will be a lot nicer to be around, more patient, more fun and much more relaxed.
Not very good at quoting so deleted some of your post.I once stopped for 3 months,no nicotine and I still craved a cig every single day[/QUOTE]
The book explains why, that's all in your head. You can un think it. You can split up with a partner and pine for them everyday for the rest of your life, that's a failure to think about the issue in a helpful way. Not because they remain addictive forever or because you have an addictive personality.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
Nicotine doesn't kill you. It's the 100nm other carcinogens in a cigarette which do. That's why GP's offer nicotine replacement therapy and why e-cigs are so successful because all of these things contain nicotine but no carcinogens in levels high enough to cause damage.
Ultimately though, with nicotine therapy you remain addicted to nicotine but given the time to conquer it you should find it easier.0 -
Hey guys,
Sorry for not posting so far today, we've been busy with the spam attack but it looks like we've sorted it now! Phew
I can't believe it's almost two whole weeks since we started Stoptober. Well done if you've stuck to it. you're all doing so wellRemember to keep those signatures updated! We want to see your savings going up and up.
How's your sense of taste doing? My Stoptober calendar says you should be able to taste a lot more now. Have you tried anything new to eat?
Tomorrow is a huge milestone for you all, and we're almost done with today. I think you all deserve a treat to be honest, seeing as it's Chocolate Week, something along those lines would be very fitting! :P

Nicotine is what you are addicted to. It's what make you miserable and rude and short tempered whenever you can't get your hands on it.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

Absolutely right, but it's not going to kill you. It's the other carcinogens which do that. So using nicotine therapy which satisfies the craving but gets rid of the carcinogens is a good way forward for many people. That includes using an e-cig.0
