  • I am actually just here to support you guys. I have never smoked but have fans who do. I can only imagine how hard it is but keep in mind: You'll feel better afterwards :)

  • OK day 2 safely negotiated.

I found the cravings stronger, but at longer intervals.

Loads of fruit eaten today - I found satsumas work well as it gives something to pick at with your fingers first and then eating them (and they're one of my favourite fruits). At least it's healthier than the cakes & biscuits from yesterday:).

Keep up the good work everyone.

  • Well here we go with my update and its a stupidly sorry tale :(
I was so ready with my last pack very done, drove to my work hotel for next days stop day and guess what was lurking down the side of the seat. You guessed it a full packet of the little horrors.

Did I decide to chuck them away and continue with my quest? I would so love to say yes but no I didn't so at the very first hurdle I fell flat on my face.

So do I still want to do this? Yes and I will do my 28 days starting as soon as this blummin packet is done.

Have questioned myself big style and done a self beat up as this thread was to be my support. Yes I have failed but I will do this and as soon as I do I will let you all know with bells on. so sorry to let the gang down but I will catch up and have to say a massive well done to everyone who has stuck to the plan.

Not the post I wanted to do but I will get there

You will do it when you are ready, we will still be here to support you when you are :) you haven't failed because you still want to give up, you've been open and honest and you said you still want to do this, which you will!

My turn for confession.....I was doing so well until my youngest had a complete meltdown last night, I went out into the garden just for a breather rather than anything else, but before I knew it I was smoking :( I feel so guilty especially as it was day 2! The worse thing is, I think it was more out of habit than craving as I don't actually remember thinking that I wanted a fag! I put it out as soon as I realised but it did make me wonder how many fags I smoked a day purely out of habit and that I really can't allow myself to be so stupid again! I have updated my signature but took off the cost of the ridiculous mistake yesterday.

    I hope everyone has a good day 3 x

A blip that's all. Just a little blip. No biggy! Ive been trying to quit for a few weeks and have had several blips! But im nearly on day 5!

    Dont write off success yet!
Come back here when you're ready!,
  • Good Luck for today!

I think the biggest test is in front of us....the weekend!! Change those habits...if we conquer this weekend...the rest will be smooth (ish) sailing!

I am going for a SPA day with afternoon tea tomorrow with 8 of my friends. Ive arranged it as part of my friends hen party (we did the drunken mess a few weeks ago) my smoking app is telling me ive saved £25.46. My massage is costing £33...so.its almost paid for. How lovely!

    Happy Friday x

Despite not managing a whole day smoke free I have massively cut down and have not actually bought any and haven't had any at home.
Will not be having one this morning and this is helped by my oh being on board now (not sure how long that will last but is making a big difference to me stopping). We are actually having a proper conversation and not snapping at each other which I thought would happen!!
Reading all ur posts are really motivating me thank you!

That's fantastic! I think it really feels worth it when you can start to pay for things with money that you would have smoked away.

The weekend is coming up and if you're not working, this can be one of the hardest times to keep your mind off smoking. So what do you plan on doing to keep yourself busy?

I wrote on here earlier having a very long moan about today, work and how I much I'm missing my nasty pal Nic O'tine. It was that long when it came to submit, the damn thing timed out and didn't post.
So you've been saved from my moaning.

But I am feeling down and just want today to be over.

I now have another addiction - diet coke. I did kick that addiction a few months ago. But this one can stay for a few months as I don't really want to be snacking. Then I'll probably rejoin Slimming World in Jan 2015.

Oh well day 3 nearly over for me. I've got to be pleased with myself.
    Hope everyone is ok.
