Having only just picked up on this thread. I am wondering why it was started at all. Why would anyone give a s*** about some show-off's story of his car buying philosophy.
Its the headline "Finally taken delivery of my Lexus IS250..."
When in actual fact he hasnt bought it at all.
I dont understand why any sane person would be trying to impress people on the internet and then get caught out so easily.0 -
A £15,000 Lexus IS250
Thought you were looking at something like a Honda Civic with a maximum budget of £3000 :rotfl:
Quite sad really.0 -

Now I'll need to replace to Yaris with a stronger/heavier car with little more interior space (for motorways) and my budget is £3k max. What's wrong with that 1.7 CDTI Civic anyway? I can get one of those in good condition for £2500 easily
darkmatter101 said in that post "my budget is £3k max"
then in his dreams he bought a 2010 Lexus IS 250 fully loaded SE-L spec. for £15K
sorry but darkmatter101 has just totally lost all credibility0 -

The IS250 and Toyotas are built in different factories and most of the parts are different.
The W16 engine block inside a Veyron is essentially two blocks stuck together from a VW passat B5.5 W8...tgat's a passat we're talking about!0 -

I test drove the SE-I yesterday and I'm most likely going to get it this weekend unless I could find a cheaper equivalent car else car. I still need to test drive the F-sport variant which I shall do this Saturday

owned by people who had them on finance without servicing them properly.
Certainly for the first few years, including 'being on finance' the car will have been serviced by BMW main dealers. After that, you look in the book, just like any other cars. Most cars are bought on finance so it would be foolish to discount cars on this basis.Look, I do have an M3, whether you believe me or not I do not mind. From now on I will not needlessly bring up my car if that makes everyone happy.
I think it would, darkmatter101, I think it would.Fine, I admit my statement that Toyota's are not RWD was wrong. I only wish to redeem myself and to help others on this forum
