Free Laptop with AOL now! (merged)

I think you have to take the calls package to get the laptop deal.Has anyone already who has aol taken this ofer and got a 18 month contract i think some one mentioned it on this thread some where

If you want the cheapest broadband price you must have there aol talk package.

The price increases if you are not on a local unbudled loop thing.

i think you must pay £10 extra per month if you dont want there call package too.

It kinda becomes pricey i think if you dont take their call package, i dont mind bt really and i dont want to change my call provider so i doubt i will be takeing up the free laptop offer now.

Why is aol doing this, is it to lock people into a 2yr contract??

This calls package does that mean the BT bill will just be the line rental each month??? What are AOL call prices compared to BT?? i thought PAYG aol calls was an option and i didnt have to run thru them if i didnt want too!!!! Saw the laptop in carphonewarehouse today....very nice!!! My broadband is going to be enabled on thrsuday so hopefully in 2 weeks i'll have my laptop...my parents have a cheap Dell 1 and its really tacky but and this one looks much better!! good quality...i cant w8!!!

You could try 0800 085 5110 to place an order (this was the phone number sent to people who had pre-registered or 0808 100 9250 if you have already completed an order online but are waiting for confirmation.

I think both numbers are likely to be available 08:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 Saturdays and 10:00 to 17:00 Sundays.

do it online...its alot easier. Trying to explain welsh name towns to those people over in indian is a nightmare so i did it online and went thru a treat. Apart from it didnt recongise halifax being a bank so i had to use my RBS account.

Tried to order online and would not accept direct debit details from Abbey or Intelligent Finance saying it did not recognise bank :mad: so phoned order through and had no problems.:j

wouldn't accept my order online with alliance and leicester..It was doing my head in..will ring them later..I am having the £22 package as it's about the same as what we pay now with tesco so laptop free really..great present for my daughter for xmas..

I think I will go with the £19.99 deal for 8MB BB and AOL Talk. I can still use 18866 to make all my UK mobile and overseas calls so thats fine...? I'm currently paying AOL £14.99 for 2MB BB so this works out at £5 extra per month for a free laptop... I know prices may drop over time but I dont think this is a bad deal?...
