£25 a month x 24 months is £600. You can get a much better laptop than the free one offered for that price.

Of course, but you have to obviously also need to include the cost of broadband in the £600!!!! You arent just paying £600 for a laptop:D

I have just phoned AOL to check with them If I order now will they be able to connect me in 4 months time (my contract's end date). I want it in 4 months time to avoid the fee by my current broadband provider (£49.99). She said if I buy now i'll be connected in a couple of weeks. Still not good for me. But I am really tempted to get the laptop but without the fee of £49.99.

She told me you can call back in 4 months time and the offer of free laptop will still be available but she can't guarantee it.

What do you think ppl? will the offer still be available? I was wondering how long did the offer of free laptop with Orange/pc world last? afterall it depends i think on a certain number of laptops they are willing to give out. But who knows what it is?

    is40gb a good allowance???
  • I just see it as I pay Tiscali £14.99 at the moment just for broadband, so I'll be paying an extra £10 a month for a laptop and free calls.
  • I rang with my Mac Code today. Customer Service were very efficient - told me 7-10 days for Broadband to go live, then 2-5 days for wireless digital to activate. After a further 7 days cooling off period the laptop will be sent.
I'm paying less than I was with BT and get a laptop thrown in - I'm happy!

I thought so - I'd rather buy a laptop independently - £24.99 monthly plus BT landline charge seemed quite a lot compared to my current costs!

I was quoted £24.99 per month for broadband and laptop. On top of that I would have to switch to BT and their line rental charge is on top of this - £31 I think a quarter. Considering that I am paying Talk Talk £80 quarterly for broadband, line rental and calls, over the two years of the 24 month contract I would be paying the extra for the laptop anyway.

I phoned my order through on the 5th but have not recevied myu welcome pack yet :(
One thing, for all those that keep harping on about paying for the laptop over the 24 months, has everyone forgotten that you are getting broadband, a call plan, a wireless route and a laptop for £19.99 a month? I currently pay £17.99 a month to NTL (now virgin), never been that boterhed about shopping around, but coming to the point that I want a new PC/laptop, so for an extra £2 per month for 24 months (£48) I get a new laptop that is better spec than I have now. Sounds like a good enough deal to me!
