Hi everyone :hello:
Aww Pig-pen. I am struggling to know what to say. My ex left us in the brown and sticky when the sprogs were tiny but he wasn't abusive. I am sooo sorry and hope things get better. I'm sending some ((hugs)) and positive thoughts to support you and yours as you move forward.
Thanks for all the thoughts for the scottish referendum vote today. It's really exciting but a bit scary as well, for us English living here in Scotland. Lots of questions and not many answers.
Now sitting up waiting for the results to start coming in. Should begin in about 30 minutes so I don't think I'll do much tomorrow which is why I have crashed on this week.

Seen the results lynne hopefully things can settle down now although I doubt that's going to be the end of it. Hope the result was met with peace.
pigpen I hope moomin realises soon, as painful as it will be for her to accept what he is, as you say she will be far safer away from him. Poor little lamb. I suppose we adults are not always ready for the truth, so we can't blame our youngsters for refusing it xxx
Iffy night here. DD up about 5 times. Crying but refusing to tell me why. In the end I gave her calpolas it turns out this morning she has a fever and a sore ear. She's had some more medicine and now stuffing her face with cereal. Go figure! Jury's out on whether we'll make gymnastics. Training day here so tried to arrange a play date for later.
I need to put a wash or 2 on and sort my clothes upstairs. Summer stuff in a pile on the floor. Damp and grey here.
Hoping for a better Friday for all of us XBossymoo

pigpen were the police or social services involved when you escaped from him? if so could you get some kind of protection order for you and the children surely they cant be forced to visit etc if they will be in danger. maybe the word of the older ones if they could be brave enough would help protect the little ones from suffering the same (or worse) fate
morning all
hope those that are scottish or live there are all ok with the results and everyone there can now live in peace with each other regardless of which way they voted. it must be such a difficult time even now the vote is over there are still things to come to terms with and sort out. HUGS if needed.

I managed to make a start on today's list (Thursday) yesterday and finished off this morning between school run and going to watch ds1 do his school fun run. He was second from his class. My son is not built for speed but over a longer distance he can hold his own!! (It was 1k and they are 5 years old!)
Anyway back now, just having a cuppa then doing some ironing before lunch. This afternoon I will be off list as I have the car boot stuff to sort through. It has been in the study for about 4 weeks and I need to go through to see what I can sell privately and what can go in the loft for another car boot or nearly new sale.
That's the plan anyway!

Healing vibes for Moomin's soul, Miss Moo's feverish ear and any divide in Scotland.
Devil Cat is home! He's sporting a rather fetching red bandage on a front leg where the drip was removed but he's not wild about it - he's a blue footie team supporter, so it isn't going down well. Fortunately because he was taken straight to the vet as soon as he scoffed the pill and sicked up half of it almost instantaneously they think he'll be absolutely fine; just rather shocked and upset by having a night in the animal hospital. OH is very, very happy.
Back to sewing. I might, just might, wash the kitchen floor today but I don't want to get too carried away.Better is good enough.0 -
Bless Moomin's heart, pigpen, what a horrible situation for you all to be in
And GWS vibes to your DD, Bossy.
I have finished work for this weekbut have a huge list of my own mess to tackle this weekend. Starting in our bedroom in five mins, I have an hour and a half before I need to go and see the vampires and I'm hoping I can get a fair bit chalked off beforehand.
