Hi all
I'm still in September until the 1st but wanted to pop on and set a budget for next month. Think I'll go for £120 for food (ambitious!), £25 for toiletries & household stuff and £30 for cat food/litter (costs a fortune now she can only eat wet food - dry makes her throw up every. single. time - and I've been shelling out on fancy expensive stuff to see if it helps her tummy).
Thanks again Rosieben for taking over the grocery challengePart time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Hi everyone - please put me down for £200 for the month again. will try to come under budget - or fill up the stock cupboards of household stuff if it is on a good offer.
Much easier getting DH to come with me to do the heavy stuff but we do "niggle" - it is not his favourite job shall I say!!!July 16 £95/£200

Just a small spend of £4.13 today. Needed a cucumber as DGD ate all mine the other night when she came to dinner! DH also wants me to make a mediterrean loaf with pesto and sun dried tomatoes so needed to buy those too.

Hi everyone, I'm still lurking in the background after a break of a long time and still not brave enough to come back on board but really need to. Our eldest DD has gone off to Uni and this month we've decided to eat out of the freezers so I think I'll be back on board next month. Good luck to everyone else."WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

One week into my month already and spent 70.67 / 250 so far, which isn't too bad. Have used several vouchers but counting full price as savings going towards clearing overdraft. Have clocked up 3 NSDs in a row so feeling very pleased
Keep thinking I need to go shopping but locking myself in the kitchen till I realise there is plenty in the house still!

Hi,
spent £35.40 in Ald1 yesterday with the voucher (£5 off £400) but needed to top up by 50p so bought chewing gum.
Still need fruit and some household/pet bits but hoping to keep it to £45.

Good morning all,
My October gc starts today, so here i am. Can I please be put down for £275 again this month, I was quite under last month http://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/sport-smiley-001.gif but I need to make sure I have all small necessities this month, once settled in house.
Hoping for no spends today, busy packing and hopefully empty the cupboards/fridge of some bits. Wish me luck!GC Jan £200/£200.78 Feb £250/£156.07

Hi all, it's been approximately FOREVER since I was last on the forums, but it's time for me to start taking the budget firmly in hand, so put me down for £200 for October (running months as per standard calendar).
TBH I've no idea whether that is realistic or not at the moment, but it gives me something to benchmark to at least. There's 2 adults here, and I'll probably try to eat down what's in the cupboards as much as possible this month rather than buying stuff just because is cheap.Oct Challenges: Make £5 a day - £5.18/£155 Grocery Challenge - £0/£2000
