Ended the month spending £199.98 which is great and the £50 under spend will be going into the savings account on Monday. :)
Well done to everybody regardless of what you spent either under or over. Its the trying that counts.
    MARCH £62.38/250
  • Well, I was well under budget up until this week and then...

I did my monthly shop at H&B, which was fine, I still had £30 left of my budget. Today, however, I did two very big shops at @ldi and @sda. I could have waited until tomorrow so that it came out of November budget, but it was better for me to go today instead.

It has taken me massively over budget when I was doing so well. My cupboards are full to bursting though, which will hopefully mean that November will be better.

Off to pledge to November, onwards and upwards.

Bit late as I've been away for a couple of days. I finished up going over by about £11.50. Hardly worth waiting for was it!
I keep looking at the things I needn't have bought... Anyway, they'll help out in November - onward and upwards!

I've lost the plot a bit this month but think I need to add £64 to my total. I spent just over £50 in farm foods last week, had a voucher so paid £45, £11 on a midweek top up shop and then hubby was sent to also to get some bananas and ended up spending £7 ( wine and chocolate!!) I don't think be missed anything but starting to doubt myself! Hey ho- I will try and keep track of it better in November.
I missed the aldi vouchers. Went on the last Thursday f the month but couldn't see it advertised. Don't know what happened there!! It did mean that I only spent the £11 in my midweek shop instead of £35+. So that helped!

  • Quick update. My challenge was to halve the grocery budget from £400 a month to £200, to give us £200 to spend in Ikea for new furniture AND I DID IT!!!!
We still have stuff to use in the freezer and cupboards so I should be able to maintain at about £50 a week for a while yet, giving us more renovation money! Not bad for a family of 4 adults. It helped that we were all on board with it too.
Very chuffed, especially with my new chair ( we now have 2 chairs in the front room)
Now Mrs FrugalinShropshire:T Proud to be mortgage and debt free:j

Well done, I find its a great incentive to stay on track if I am saving for something I really want.
