first shop sorted 2 more to go.
I found my letter and I definatley have to do 4 shops of £9. I wish I only had to do 3 shops of £10K9sandFelines wrote: »£2.05 spent yesterday and about to go oit for a loaf. Im about 15p under budget and got another week yet.
I know the feeling.... I have 65p left now
Went to Mr T's last night, stocked up on fruit and veg, some drinks and cereal and a chicken for lunch today. Got 2 bags of YS baking potatoes, large bags. They were only 78p a bag so was happy with that.
As you can see from my sig, i'm never gonna make it till Friday. 65p left, and my dog has just about run out of food (will need some more by this evening), I've run out of fabric softner and its half term with 3 kids.... I'm gonna have to allocate an emergency budget I think. Will have a think about things today, write a list tonight after work, and see how much I think I will need. I'd rather set an emergency budget to stick to rather than just throw the towel and and go crazy!

Was feeling super frugal in Oct and stayed within all my budgets - think that's a first for me
Grocery spending at end of my month (20th) was £232.09 / £250 :j
Now off to find the Nov thread and trying to stay focussed!0 -
Congrats Ellie BB! :T
We're under on each budget too this month too, and our 1/2 term is planned out well so we should stay there easily.
Last October and November were our lowest months of 2013 too (we're sad and like to compare)
I think it's the closeness of C* & the fact that cooler weather always makes me want to take stock and save energy/money for the winter ahead. It must be a "back in the day" instinct that rears it's head in me annually (paired with living in the woods & not being on the mains/high oil prices! :rotfl:) Hubby says he doesn't feel it, but I really think that's it for me.0 -
Congratulations to everybody under budget :T
I spent £9 when I went shopping so now I only have £4 to last until Friday. They didn't have any of the puff pastry either but I stocked up on venison meatballs down to £1.39 for 12. I bought 4 packets£36/£240
£5522

Made mountains of lasagne for visitors who ate lots less than I anticipated so we have all day guzzled and now feel VERY VERY sick!0

£18.87 on 2 bottles of fruit cider, 1 big bottle of mulled cider, a bag of satsumas, a butternut squash, 3 peppers, a bag of apples, 6 pack of fruit corner yoghurts, a box of mushrooms, a punnet of plums, 6 bottles of cider & 6 bananas.
£5.50 spent on 10 litres of Pepsi max & a bottle of ketchup. I also spent another £7 ish on 2 boxes of chocolates reduced from £8.40 each but they're for Christmas presents so not counting in this budget
Planning 1 more shop this month and hopefully that'll be it. Currently working on a meal plan for the week.0 -
£13 spent at the farmers market, it is really rather expensive. I got raw milk (it is supposed to be better for health) that I am going to use to make yogurt, and a bagful of organic fruit and veg, I wanted them organic as I am using some of them to make a jar of fermented vegetables and don't want too many nasty chemicals in the jar.
Also spent some treat money, £10.50 for tea and cake for 2 (3 large pieces, 1 large mug coffee, 1 never ending teapot of tea) at the community gardens. After attending a very interesting talk on chillies and buying a bag of fresh ones to dry, we got our 3 bottles of homemade wine from our grape crop of last year. We also bought 2 extra bottles. We paid production costs for a total of £17.50. For 5 bottles of wine it's not bad!
Good night. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
