Iceland was absoutely packed today the cans of pop on offer were almost gone but did get 6 packs, although only one of cherry left which is his favourite I bought 2 packs of eggs as the offer is 1.60 instead of £1 each so I pickle some. Spent £8.60 now and that will do for the week as I am away for a couple of days.

    I've struggled this month :o

Going to be around £180 by the end of the month.

Next month will be better (though it is starting with 2 big packs of nappies, larger, olive oil and wash capsules  ).

Spent £9.59 today! Just going to update signature (rounded up to £10 spend). Should be us set until day 31 with a nice chunk for C* or Jan. sale foods.
We've only made it because we didn't need washing powder, toiletries, very much meat or nappies at "normal" prices...but I'll take it. We started October with a good stash of dog food too.

I spent just under £9 in sainsbugs but of this £7.00 was treats for DS, DH and myself, chocolate stuff, so I used my saved nectar points, not counting them as money in the GC. Also spent another £1 for some biscuits this morning, so I am declaring a £3 spend god today and will adjust my sig accordingly.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Well, I didn't have lentil bolognese for dinner tonight. I opened the fridge and saw some lo cheesy mash, so I pulled two sausages from the freezer and used half a tin of tomatoes. This leaves the other half of the tomatoes for the bolognese tomorrow. Oh, except I'm at bf's for dinner... That'll be Monday then!

I solved the bread and milk problem. I always keep a bread mix in, a nice one such as cheese and onion. That'll do for me as a treat, and I have wraps in for the ch should they need them. I found a litre of uht milk in the kitchen too, which I purposely bought for just such an occasion! I'm so much more organised than I give myself credit for!!

Tomorrow will be weetabix for breakfast and not too sure about lunch... I have plenty in, but unsure what to choose! Maybe soup?

    Night all

    Hi
I've just added up my receipts and my total so far this month is
    £110.35/150.
I'm very surprised at this I thought that I had spent more as I've bought a lot of groceries.

On 20 Oct I joined Slimming World as I'm in the right frame of mind to deal with the other sort of pounds. I've had some surprises a lot of the items in my fridge/freezer and pantry are no or low Syns.

Morning all, DH went shopping for me yesterday as I was too busy, there are pluses and minuses with DH shopping though +he sticks to the list -he insists on shopping at Sainsburys. I still don't have my receipt (or change) but it's close to the £10 mark for porridge oats, tin of soup, 2 packs of butter and coffee. I have £12 left in my purse until Fri but I have another pot for emergencies.
You're about same as me on budget as that's all I have left. However your DH opposite to mine - he's happy to go to A*di but has problems staying on list, don't know which is worst :rotfl:

I have £13 left to last me until Friday, half of that will go today as I need milk and I am going to stock up on some of the puff pastry that L!dl have on special.
It will be tight but I should make it, we have loads in the freezer and I'm about to do my plan.
Good luck with your budgets in these last few days :)
