Spent £1.50 yesterday on some yoghurts.
Loving the look of Aldi's new super 6 (plums, satsumas, cox apples, mixed peppers, butternut squash & mushrooms for anyone that hasn't seen!) so may well do some meal planning around some of that next week0 -

K9 - I'm sure they'll be fine in the cellar. I keep my veg in an unheated room on a bit of bare concrete floor (the carpet was cut round a cupboard that used to be there, LOL!) and we haven't got round to decorating that room yet. It was a garage before the previous owners converted it into a spare bedroom (although we've never used it as one).
I've done my final shop for October today and have spent £29.01, split between Icel*nd, Ald! & Morries. Total for the month £184.44/£250.
I'm sticking with £250 for next month but the extra from this month will be put towards Christmas stuff.

Haven't been to shops yet but mother called in with 2 loafs of bread and 4 pints of milk. Gave her £2.50..... Might as well avoid going to the shops now till tomorrow. Can't think of anything else I desperatly need. No cereal left but plenty of bread for toast for breakfast for the kids in the morning. Will check they don't want cereal first tho before deciding!

Thanks but I agree with the others - £5 ??
Most of the Change4Life recipes cost around £5 to make (to feed four people), which is based on the average cost of ingredients used.
In cases where it is cheaper/necessary to buy certain items in bulk, remember that you can use these in multiple recipes. This is where it comes in handy to plan your meals for the week and do your shopping around this.

Last night we had some home made curry that had been lo and frozen from a previous meal with some rice, salad and poppadoms done in the microwave (less calories)
Tonight we are having hm fish & chips, bread and butter and a cuppa to wash it down :rotfl:
Have taken mum some turkey casserole out of the freezer for tomorrow so will take that down in the morning for her.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

I think you might be preaching to the converted here :rotfl:
Today will be another NSD. Today we'll have leftover bean casserole, veggie sausages and some herby quinoa. I'm tempted to try and bring it in under £100 this month - see what I can get away with feeding everyoneOr this might be a good time to start chucking a few Xmassy bits in the basket!
