On track so far after our big start of the month shop so the meal plan's working well so far and we're on track with ingredients going forward.
Only the 1 spend day too, but we're still in the early days of the month so hoping it continues to plan. x Good luck with a new week everyone! x0 -
Good morning,
Aiming for a NSD today, I still have a bit of onion and some spring onions so I don't need to go and get a bag of it, until I need to get a few more things. And got lots of tinned tomatoes so will make do without fresh ones for one more day.
Just joined the October NSD challenge on the DFW thread, aiming for 10 NSDs this month. Not counting bills and the usual pain, builders expenses and wages. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Morning all.
Did my weekly Lidl shop yesterday morning. Came in with our budget of £60 at £57.79.
I did buy a couple of things that I didn't desperately need yet but there was Liquid Detergent / 40 washes for £1.79. Never used Liquid before but at that price I couldn't resist. I also bought washing up liquid, big bottle for 95p and big bottle of floor detergent for 85p. All will get used but didn't desperately need them for this week
So here is the start of my running total £57.79 / £240
Will try to squeeze it onto my signature in abit.
Hope you are all doing well and staying indoor out of this terrible weather xx0 -
Morning all - it's raining heavily today which I love but I am hoping it will clear up this afternoon. Being a non driver I have a lot of walking this afternoon and I'd like my ankles to stay dry
I'm really rubbish at tracking my very rare NSDs so I am going to keep a note of dates here so it will be easier to track.
Starting from Day 1 of October GC my grocery spends
3rd £13.63, £12.95 and £30.32
4th NSD
5th £10.55
I have to pop to shops for milk and a few other bits and bobs later.
Have a good week everyone!Stay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

Well, I've been a bit rubbish at updating, but here goes:
Cash for butcher, etc: £ 30.00
Aldi: £ 49.70
Tesco: £153.63
Poundland: £ 9.00
Total: £242.33/£500
There's still 2.5 weeks to go but I suspect (hope) I won't spend much more than about £200 between now and 24 October.

So,my budget,for 2 adults and 4 children,is £280
That budget is amazing! I can't ever imagine getting it that low and there are only 5 of us (plus a dog)
Anyway..... My brilliant start to the beginning of the 1st week and ended disastrously after popping to the shops with DH over the weekend.
Ended up spending £66.15 at a few shops plus £25 eating out with the kids. Gutted.
Must sort myself out!
Today i've made a good dinner with stuff from cupboards. I'm now sat down with kids and about to sort this weeks meal plan. I need to get this sorted out!
Off to reluctantly update budget.....

I've decided, i'm gonna run to shops now and buy a load of milk, then i'm gonna aim for 3 NSD's in a row. I simply NEED to do it. Should have enough bread to last 3 days.
Wish me luck!!

After seeing SaverUppers budget of £280 for family of 6, I am going to be brave and decrease our grocery budget from £360 for a family of 5, 1 cat, 1 dog to:
£340
Wish me luck. Plan to bake sweet treats tomorrow instead of nipping to the shop. Perhaps: choc & courgette cake, digestives and jam buns. Should keep those sweet teeth happy!
