Good luck CP. Think you should leave OH and sprogs at home - give them a task - and go shopping yourself. Probably be much cheaper and stress-freer :rotfl:
Thats exactly what i'm gonna do! Also didn't take my purse on the school run so that means i had to avoid Mr T's making today a NSD :T:T:T
Not sure what to make for tea. Not feeling well so will be something simple I think.

Hi
I'm a little late joining in this month cos we have been on holiday but now really need to get back on track so I am aiming to stick to £150 for October. I've done a big shop for £64.21 so far which I am going to try to make last as long as possible by attempting to make as many meals have leftovers which I will freeze.
It helps that we are getting into warming foods like casserole, shepherds pie etc type meals which stretch . Yummy

Few spends to add here.
£3.68 spent on 2 bags of skittles and 1 bag of other sweets (on offer).
£15.57 spent on a bag of roast & ground coffee, chocolate sprinkles for coffee, 16 cans of Pepsi max, 10 sachets of instant coffee (on offer), 4 days of cat food, cinnamon & vanilla sprinkles for coffee, bottle of caramel syrup for coffee and 6 eggs.
£6.38 spent on 2x cheese & onion sandwiches (YS), egg mayonnaise sandwich (YS), cheese & tomato sandwich (YS), ploughman's sandwich (YS), falafel & houmous & Moroccan chutney wrap (YS), brunch sandwich (YS), sweet chilli chicken wrap (YS), pulled pork & cheese slaw sandwich (YS), American meat feast sandwich (YS) and a bottle of Pepsi max (mostly bought so I can re-use the bottle for work).
So adding £25.63 to my sig.0 -
Haven't gotten round to updating since my Oc*do delivery at the weekend. The shop came to £49.62 which included 4 medium chickens-1 fed 4 of us on Sunday as my parents were round, and we've been using the rest the last couple of days in meals.
We are away this weekend for a wedding, so I need to try and use up or freeze whatever fresh food we have between then-my chest freezer is now well & truly full up so I *shouldnt* need to buy main meal ingredients for a while. Hopefully will just be fresh stock ups.MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -
First grocery shop of the month came to $82, leaving $18 for the rest of the week. Don't need to buy anything, so if I can keep out of the shops we should be okay.
Money spent included a visit to the local asparagus pack house, where I bought a kilo for $6, so will be making and freezing bacon and asparagus quiches.
Another cold and windy day forecast after a beautiful warm and sunny day yesterday, so the fire will be going and we will spend the day inside.
Made a 4kg batch of salami yesterday, so will be smoking it today, ready for delivery tomorrow.
Whitebait are running in the rivers, so may just put the net out and see if I can snare enough for a couple of fritters.
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Right, I need to get re-motivated with my grocery challenge. I'm setting this month's target at £260.
I have already spent just under £50 of this so far. I need to get back to tracking my spending and not allowing non list items to creep into the basket.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89

Hey Meg - you did really well there with your chicken and gammon. My favourite meats actually but nice gammon is expensive here. Think I might get one for a treat at end of month
You still going for run-down for C* reductions
Hiya craigy - good to hear from you.
Re prices in sms - do you have a Morrys near you as the word is they are going head-to-head with the discounters !! This should be interesting eh. Can only be good for us consumers :rotfl:

Managed another NSD today.
I had a lovely salad today. Morrys are doing a really tasty bag of Bistro Salad(with beetroot) for 99p, plenty lo, and I added chopped tomato and onion, grated some carrot and added shredded lo chicken from yesterday. Then made a dressing with fat-free yoghurt, lemon juice, chopped mint, touch of chilli and grind of black pepper. It was super. Followed with fresh pineapple, blueberries, raspberries and some more yoghurt. I was stuffed
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday
Lx
Will still try for a bit of space for Christmas reductions as got mega reduced prawns last Christmas eve, I love prawns but don't have the m often due to price.
I love the sound of that salad dressing must give it a go.Slimming World at target0 -
