  • Hello all

Firstly, big hugs to my fly friends. I can't believe it's a year since the lovely Toots passed away. When I first started on flylady, the second post was reserved for her and her friendly, encouraging and motivating guide.

I've managed to get rid of the drier buddy via freecyc!e & Baby O!eg and Nitwest piggies on gumforest.

Tonight, I'm off to give blood but need to do a dump run en route. I need to [STRIKE]nag[/STRIKE] ask my Dad to finally paint the blanket box he made me for Christmas, it's still in bits in my bedroom. Also get him to re-fit the pantry door, which has dropped.

Need to ring back the decorator too.

Have a great day all - I know I've only just returned but I thank each and everyone of you for your companionship and support.

    Deco x
  • I'm a little late but I would like to join back into this please. had a few weeks off due to various things and I really need to get back on top of things around here.

Just popping in to thank Ionafan for the reminder post regarding the September Challange. I'd forgotten about it completely and couldn't let myself start on something pleasurable until I'd finished the HUMUNGOUS FROG on my desk. I decided to just get rid of it, and have posted it, whether finished or not. It's not my problem any more, so now that's 'done' I'm going to take everything that needs to go to the chalet back there, pick up some dog food at Morribunds on the way back and then (trumpet fanfare) start the Challenge. I've never allowed myself to do anything like that before and it feels fab! (This post is in colour, because althogh I haven't actually done anything yet, I kind of have.)
    Better is good enough.

    Thankyou for the welcome, Dustykitten.

I dont have a lot on my list as am only on babysteps, so just getting dressed in the mornings, washing up and decluttering each day. This week Im in the kitchen, though when I am fully decluttered I may join in with doing a room per day, rather then room per week.
Have yet to read todays babysteps, am going to wash up & then do my first declutter in the kitchen..

could you mix some of the good cat litter you use for the others in with the cheap and gradually increase the mix of the one you like using till the cats got used to that so that eventually you are just using one type.

sorry havent got a clue about how to stop other cats eating the kitten food apart from keeping them out of the room while kitten is being fed.

That's what I've done :) I upgraded to a larger tray and put half and half in. It's been used so hopefully it'll work ;)

We always watch when we feed the kittens but as soon as we turn our backs or once the kittens have finished one of the big ones is in there scoffing the leftovers! We have kick stools over the top of the bowls but that's only slows them down slightly

Both loads of washing out, dry washing from airer in and folded, kitchen sides scrubbed. Spare carrier bags sorted and over half binned. Cooker hob cleaned, can't do the cooker til I get some cleaner on shopping day. Coffee & bicuits decluttered while watching a couple of cooking programmes :)

    Food shop done.
More bits got for DS2 for uni.

Going to finish dusting DS1's room and then do a couple of hours gardening next door and make sure there and our wheelie bins are full for tomorrow :D

Well done, Honey Bear! I too have been clearing one or two frogs out of the way and feeling much better for it, so I can empathise with you

Oh yes you have - you have cleared the way towards reaching your September goal. Enjoy!

    Today I have
    - had words with DH  which have caused him to deal with something that he should have done at least a week ago
    - put back 1lb at the SW weigh-in :(
    - met an old friend at SW :)
    - spent 2 hours trying to reconcile some accounts, losing £84 somewhere along the way
    - had lunch, then looked at the accounts again and realised what I'd done (recorded cash in hand twice over) so I've now got to re-type the 2013-14 pages :o This job was only a tadpole when I first put it on my Toots list!

Later this afternoon I am hoping to
    - go out for a walk in the sun, and perhaps I'll deliver the leaflets at the same time
    - plant up the pots for the shady back yard (another tadpole that is fast becoming a full-grown frog)
    - and DH is out this evening so I get to be in charge of the remote control :D

How is it 3.15 already?

I've been out to work, 2 WM loads done, TD is on its 2nd load (have to split bedding from clothes otherwise it doesn't dry ) with at least 1 more to go, and I need to make a run to school to collect books from there, come home, wash up, make tea, nag DD to do some of her homework and then back out to work at 6pm! Thankfully lots of my customers were around today so I should be finished work by 7pm, but I bet I have to pop back out to see some ;)

TD is finished so I can go out now.. :D

Oh, and I'm posting this while sitting at my desk :D:j Still not got the rest of the office set up (and I definitely need to get a proper chair) but I'm using the desk, and the back of the sofa as a desk extension :rotfl::rotfl:

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
